Okay, so rookie situation here. Need some help.

I recently had to purchase new tires due to wear on the stock tires that came on my 2016 CM. Because I planned on getting some A/T tires, i decided to just purchase the A/T tires rather than burn money on some replacements just to turn around and spend more again later. I figured I'd put them on my stock 18" rims and later when I get some more money together, go by the wheels.

Initially, I ordered some 305/65R18 Toyo Open Country A/T's. Unfortunately, they were too wide on my stock rim and wouldn't mount, so I ended up having to go with 275/70R18 (same tire).

    Problem is--
the rim width range for the 275/70R18 is 7"-8.5"...I didnt even think about this when i bought the tires. Now that I am looking at wheels, there are literally almost ZERO 8.5" width for 18" diameter wheels for our 5x150 bolt pattern.

    Question is--
Am i able to run a 9" width rim and what will happen if I do? if not...does anybody wanna buy my new toyo's? I bought them saturday and have about 100 miles on them.

    thanks in advance!

Not optimal but I think you'll be ok with .5"
