I dont like how the media made a new name for these. They were just called Japanese Giant Hornets until a week ago.

They are still evil little bastards but the name is dumb.

Everything is sensationalized on the internet . Japanese giant hornets could be pictured as graceful insects at home in a beautiful garden, Japanese murder hornets are Ninjas!..;)

The Japanese bees have a way of defending themselves from the giant hornets. They surround the hornet and vibrate which raises the temperature and cooks the hornet to death. US honey bees have no defense and just get their heads ripped off.

Easy solve- we import Japanese honey bees. I'll be running for office before you know it with ideas like this.

    Some stuff
it was a tiger shark and the surfer was bethany hamilton. she was 13 when it happened back in '05. i've had several opportunities to watch her surf and photograph her. she surfs better with one arm than just about everyone with two arms.

tigers and bulls scare me more than great whites. i know of 2 gw fatalities that happened over a 25 or so year period while i was living in san diego. both fatalities were swimmers and one happened about 1/4 mile down the beach from me one morning. scripps canyon is known breeding ground for them and there were always sightings. most of them came from my dive friends and not surfers.

I will never look at a praying mantis the same away again... that was hardcore.

I mean that mantis ate through things eyeball into its brain and then proceeded to chow down until nothing was left.

That is very interesting. I thought I read that the mantis is one of the giant hornet’s main prey.

I wonder if they doped that hornet up?
