This is true. RCI was solid and communicated pretty well when I got stuff during their labor day sale, so it's sad to see it's being handled this way.

Why complain about delays right now? At least they are still open, unlike other companies. They are having a tax sale and probably have a lot of orders on top of being short staffed. They are doing what they can to keep their business profitable during this time. You should have known that lead times would probably be longer than what it says on the website.

He stated that he understands that, but is disappointed with the communication of his order status. All the patience in the world as long as you keep me in the loop.

I emailed them, politely, about my sliders and received an email back within a day.

I received all the skid hardware. I'm getting some sliders later this year.

Colorado was under stay at home orders until yesterday. Working the last 6 weeks or so has been a pain in the ass, so if RCI is still getting stuff out, good for them.

I got no issues with the delays... It's the lack of follow up which consequentially shows interest towards the client that tampers the business dynamic... couple of lines on a email sent from a mobile phone.... Not asking for miracles...

Just build a skid plate that attached to the factory oem skid plate, after i bought the rci skid plate and looking at the factory one. It looks reasonable to save money utilize factory skid
And build a connection skid to cover oil pan etc.

Well mine is now suppose to ship Friday so to late now. But I have a buddy who is off from full time sheet metal I should have just had him make me some. But I still don’t mind throwing money to help a USA company

Placed my order last week and just got notified it’s shipping tomorrow - that’s less than 1 week lead time. Fingers crossed I don’t have hardware issues!

Ordered transmission skid from RCI at the end of March. Spoke to a very courteous customer service rep for the order and springtime discount, and also asked to charge me for a set of new hardware for the front skid (some rust from salted roads over the years). Threw in the kit for free and I had the skid plate in a week. Always had great service from them.

Same here. I've never had issues with RCI. Local to me which helps and also knowing the owner doesn't hurt. My front skid had extra hardware. Go figure. Times are tough now in many places. Colorado was hit fairly hard. The VA hospital near me has an outbreak going on with the older vets there. Communication is gold but not easy for a lot of businesses here right now. The fact that RCI is trying to ship out orders is a good thing considering our situation here in CO. The curve has flattened somewhat but these young stoners here aren't helping at all....

And yet, there are few who demand absolute, unconditional customer service. Jesus Christ, suck it the fuck up

Ok so I am probably being dumb here but the website is very vague IMO. Looking at the front skid there is an option for diff drop vs no diff drop. What the heck is the difference? Is it whether you have a diff drop or not? Also what happens if in the future you get a diff drop, is your skid now not able to be mounted? Again sorry if these are dumb questions. Thanks.

If you have what look like these you have a diff drop. Hope that helps bud

Thanks, yeah I know what a diff drop is, I guess just wondering what the difference is in the skid plates since they have two different kinds. One for diff drop and one not.

Cool, thanks! So no diff in the actual skid and should probably order it with the diff drop just in case one is added to the truck in the future.

This^^^ the skid spacers supplied if you have a diff drop, or may require a diff drop, are free. Order them. Can't hurt. They are just spacers.

The only thing I changed from the hardware provided were the fender washers. I bought 1.5 inch washers. Other than that I just bought all stainless steel at my local hardware store that is listed on the instructions sheet. You don’t even need to bother with changing it to stainless steel if you live in a warm climate. The only reason I swapped mine out is because of the salt and sand that coats the roads of Maine throughout the winter.

Ordered engine skid plate April 29th. Arrived today, May 14th. All hardware present. Packaged very well with no damage. Will purchase stainless hardware to avoid corrosion. Excellent quality. Fuel skid and sliders are next.
