TRD Pro Grille ,,,, part number needed Silver sky metallic

looking to do the TRD Pro grill sway on my 2016 Tundra in silver sky metallic.
I have the toyota part number for the bulge , but looking for the toyota part number for the grille assembly in the silver sky metallic. thanks

 

It isn't available because the TRD Pro doesn't come in Silver Sky Metallic. If you have an existing surround that is silver sky metallic, you can order the TRD Pro in any color you want, but you'll need to separate the insert from the surround on both the new grille and your existing grille so you can swap inserts. It's a mild pain, but very doable. I just did it a week and a half ago on my '17 Platinum.

dave was it difficult to do what you did? in regards to installing the black center grille into a factory sky silver frame? Just an hour or 2 on the work bench?

RODL12 , I like daves grille better, but followed the link and read that someone named roman can provide what I need painted in silver sky. does anyone have contact for roman?

 

Roman isn’t offering painted parts aside from what can be ordered direct. That limits the pro grille surround only to those colors that the pros came in for whatever year. Since pros never came in SSM, you’ll have to take it somewhere local to be painted.

ok, let reverse engineer this.
i have a 2016 limited in silver sky metallic, with chrome grille , surround and buldge.
Like many others, I want to get rid of all that chrome. I have found a few hood bulges in this color , and have the toyota part number as well.

I guess I need to find a silver sky metallic grille surround , What other years was silver sky metallic offered for the tundra?

thanks for the link, but magnetic grey is the same color as silver sky , so there would be a difference in color

They are out there, you might have to do a little digging. Maybe try and reach to the ebay seller.

Bump, anyone have the part number for ssm grille and bulge?

 

The reply’s in this thread are still accurate. I’m unhappy with the color match of my sparks parts surround and bulge as it’s noticeably darker. If I could do it over I’d just order a base color like black or white and take them to a body shop to paint to match.

 

reviews about sparkparts color match is mediocre. I am very hesitant to order my front bumper caps from them

Just to clarify a little about auto painting and dealer “color match”

The dealer is painting your parts to a “code”. For mgm, ssm, etc. your trucks have been exposed to elements from anywhere from 1-7years (based on the gen 2.5 release dates). UV is a nightmare to paints and clearcoats. If your pro grille surround had been allowed to age the same amount of time as your truck, you likely wouldn’t notice the difference. For a true color match, find a good body shop that can start with your “code” and adjust based on your vehicles age. $.02

 

I'm a couple years late to this post but WOW I really like this here truck...If we keep our SSM this is what I'd like ours to look like..N I C E nice.
