C8E8CD04-C21F-4D8B-AA72-1B1613B2AFBE.jpg Thanks to @Roman. I am waiting on the Ajt relocation bracket but decided to just zip tie the sensor to the radiator support for now. Drove for 5 miles with no problems at all. VERY happy with the look and will mount the bracket whenever it arrives.

Nice. I did the exact same thing about two weeks and I love it.

I don't remember if you chimed in on any of the TSS posts lately but did the AJT bracket work out for you? I just picked this grille up today. Any tips on the zip tie process for a temp install? Thanks.

Nope; was lucky enough to get in on one of the last jomax production runs. The ajt three errors all the time for me unfortunately

I'm wondering why the AJT is hit and miss...installation angle maybe?

Looks good! While we're on the topic, does anyone know where i can find some replacement plastic tabs that are used on the backend of the TRD pro grill? I had one pop off and I need it replaced.

I tried many different ways to mount it. There really isn’t any way to install it wrong as it sits right against the existing parts. It’s a quality product but doesn’t work for some. Hit and miss. I even lid Toyota a lot of money to recalibrate the tss after installation (my buddy works at the dealership and allowed the techs to do the calibration on an aftermarket part). I think it has to do with the thickness of the front plate honestly but that was just a guess when I had it.

The method that @2020Platinum did on his has worked for many people. The TSS is a strange animal I guess.

I have a combined 18 miles or so with the AJT....no issues so far. I have a direct 20 mile drive to work today so we will see how it goes. I'll use radar cruise if traffic allows it. Lane departure is working fine as well.

Good luck........mine didn't last much longer before it started throwing errors and nothing I could do would fix it (even got it recalibrated at the dealership). I put the jomax on and haven't had an error since. Hopefully the AJT mount continues to work for you - seems to be very hit and miss for many members.

So at 35 miles, I got a clean sensor going up the bridge. I take the same route daily so I'll be able to monitor it. I'm going to try a couple of things.....remove the cover and see what happens, or make a cover with thin plexiglass. Isn't the cover on the Jomax a thin sheet metal and it mounts in the same spot as the AJT? I do have a some thin sheet metal at home.

I actually don’t remember what type of faceplate the jomax has, or if it actually has one. I will try to look today. My bet is you can try anything you want with the ajt and it won’t work. Many on here have tried after getting the error with no luck.

I have that same deflector.. provides a nice look along with protecting the front of the hood. I also want that grill you got.. will be my next purchase before some 2018+ LED’s988A3ACC-4923-47B7-BE38-ED38ABC0BA39.jpg

I ended up taking that deflector off; it was coming up on one end and underneath was getting scratched up
