Adams Ceramic waterless wash reviews

Guess it’s just me that has a streaking issue with it. I don’t seem to have the same problem with other products, but this one I do. It’s totally manageable, but it certainly streaks if I don’t pay close attention. Maybe humidity? I’m using waffle weave towels like it calls for.

 

Could be humidity. We don't have much humidity most of the year in Idaho. I use the orange towels that came with beadmaker off Amazon.

 

I’ll try some other towels. I was just trying to do exactly what the instructions said, which call for waffle weave.

 

It will be three weeks tomorrow since I did my side by side application. They both still look equal.

They had a limited edition version I picked up a few weeks ago. I bought a bottle to flip on eBay.

Has anyone tried Shine Armor? What's your opinion of it?

 

Last I checked, both were still equal, but I moved on to something else pretty quickly. Once I realized that Adams was lying about the ingredients I lost interest in the product.

 

I have a gallon that should be here tomorrow.

We first noticed the discrepancy in September, and I believe it was @owb2gp that brought it to their attention then. I think they told him “it varies”, but that’s not acceptable if you’re going to publish an exact number with no disclaimer. Seven months later, and their website still claims the product is 10% SiO2.

For those just now reading this thread, the product actually only has 7%. May not seem like a huge issue, but SiO2 is very expensive per ounce, and it’s the reason the product costs as much as it does. To deliver 30% less than what we paid for is BS.

I was already irritated with Adams after paying 80 bucks for their ceramic spray, which turned out to be the second worst paint protectant I’ve ever used. (The only one it beat was Topcoat F11, which is a whole other level of scammy bullshit.) Combine that with their intentional false advertising on the ceramic waterless wash, and I have zero confidence in Adams. I know some guys here are fans of theirs, but I won’t bother with them again. (To be fair, when I dealt with Adams customer service a couple of times early on, they were very responsive and helpful. I just have zero confidence in their actual products.)

Shine Supply Spiked Punch appears to be the same type of product, at the same price. (Actually 10% cheaper if you use our forum discount code: tundra10.) I have some coming in today, and I’ll post my thoughts. Shine Supply doesn’t actually list the amount of SiO2 in the product, but I’ll check the label when I get it.

Unlike Adams though, I have 100% faith in Shine Supply. Jeremy is an incredibly stand up guy, and I trust him completely. I can confidently say he cares more about his reputation than he does about making as much profit as possible. I’ve used almost every product he sells, and only been disappointed in a couple of them. I’ve been disappointed in nearly 100% of the Adams products I’ve used.

 

Funniest part is that their product page actually contradicts itself in plain view:

 

I'm waiting for this virus crap to blow over before I buy anymore detailing stuff. My job is paying me and I'm 50/50 working from home and the office but my wife works for the hospital and they are so damn slow. Everyone has to take 10 hours or more off per week. Hopefully layoffs won't happen. I will definitely be buying some spiked punch and a few other things from shine supply soon as I'm not worried about my wife's job.

I guess I could sell all my Adam's limited stuff but I wanted to hold onto it for another year or so with hopes of all the fan boys paying way more than what its worth.

 

My shipment was damaged in transit, so it will be a few more days. Shine Supply actually found out before I did. They called me yesterday afternoon letting me know it was damaged, and already had another shipment going out.

 

It’s awesome. Blows the Adams out of the water in my opinion. Left a finish like glass. Slickness is between the Adams and Beadmaker. Even my wife noticed it looked exceptionally reflective. I am definitely adding it to the rotation.

 

Isn’t that more along the lines of Hydro2 or Wetcoat?

Would you lean either way the next time you buy? Retail price is the same, though we get 10% off with SS. Not sure if we have any discounts with Adams.

 

Adams makes pretty good products but they have been known (and are open about) a lot of their products being relabeled products from other brands.

 

I have, it's pretty good. You should have patented your ceramic boost/waterless blend: this is right from their website on the description of CS3: "In short, we’ve smashed the technology of Ceramic Waterless & Ceramic Boost together to bring a truly incredible all-in-one experience."

 

Adams gives forum discounts, usually 10%. But they do 15% off sales every week so I don’t think it makes a difference. Should just drop the prices by 15%.

I bought some of this and used it on my daughters Subaru last weekend. Didn't blow me away. I have a bottle of Reload that I haven't used so I can't compare the two products. A few days before I applied the CS3 I had washed her car with Reset and applied beadmaker, not sure if that messed anything up. Smelled amazing though.

I honestly don't believe much Adam's says anymore since they claimed 10% on the website and the bottle said 7% with the ceramic waterless wash.

Actually I only bought it because it was a limited edition version that I planned to flip on eBay in a year but it smelled so good I thought I would try it. I usually grab 2 each of the limited stuff, hold onto it for a year or so make 3-4 times what I paid. You would be surprised that so many collect the limited stuff and what they'll pay. At the end of the day Adam's gets money from me. Plus it was good on them to step up and make hand sanitizer to help since all the hoarders snatched it up during all this nonsense.

I'll have to give it another shot on my son's truck once the beadmaker is gone.
