Anyone have to replace one of these little bastards? Assuming that it’s pretty straightforward once you remove door panel?

if you zoom in you can see the crack in the mid section where the pin is. Finally had enough of it making a loud popping noise every time I open the door....

@Roman got a link for these? Front driver door...

Simple. Couple 10mm nuts that you’ll see if you stick your head in the jamb there. Slides right out (into) the door. Be sure to start the bolt back into the body by hand. Cross threading that one gets ugly.....

I replaced both of them on my 2007... be very careful with the two nuts on the check itself - use a magnetized 10mm if possible.

I just ordered an OEM one from eBay. Mine busted in a wind storm weeks ago.

Pretty sure that’s what got me as well. Opened door with wind blowing and it snatched it right out of my hand. I’ll have to check out eBay

I removed the panel and had my kid hold it up while I worked under it. Removed the speaker and took the door check off. 10 min job

I had my passenger break during a SUPER windy day. Talked to my service manager when I took the truck in for service and they replaced it and said it was under warranty. Not too bad for me.

That's awesome they did that for you! I have a service appt scheduled in two weeks and asked them to look at it. I figured that since it broke on my own accord, that I fixed it on my own dime.
