Wow is right! Those guys are complete dumb a$$'$!! That Eco boost with stock size tires gets the same mpg on the highway my 5.7 gets with35's!!! I have seen it first hand. People become so brand loyal and close minded it's comments from the ford guys that piss me off. I have owned 3 new fords 1997-2000-2004. And after my tundra will never own another one!
Sorry for the rant!.... I'm done lol.

I'm with ya there Virgil, ford spent a lot of time and money for what..... 1-2 mpgs and more towing. Not worth that $60k price tag. It's a ugly truck imop, I'm just waiting for the next generation Tundra, hopefully with a new engine plant and more options all around.

    None...yet!
Ford has to increase revenue somehow...dorks didn't take the free Gov't bailout so while thinking it would help their branding in a saturated market, I say to them, "EPIC FAIL!"

You can't compete with the engineering behind a Tundra. Did they even see the commercial with the space shuttle? <Toyota drops the mic>

lol! Funny thing is if you do enough research ford took the "bailout" a couple years before the government started going public with it.......

I purchased my tundra in september 2012, is what right when they started working on that commercial...it was a proud time to be a tundra owner (still is) :) We had a HUGE billboard off the free way that said "Honk if your truck pulled the Shuttle" and I would just lay on the horn every time I drove by:D

I need to get me one of those bumper stickers. So we now know that silver Tundras are the strongest of them all. Why else would Toyota have picked a silver Tundra? :D

These Aluminum trucks will give you a new definition of being paranoid about getting a door ding.

Only good thing i can say about the ford is it will not rust like steel if not treated correctly in the salt band states up north or near the ocean...

Cost of repair will come down as ways to improve repairs will come down in time... Remember the old corvettes they where fiberglass... ( take it to a boat shop not a body shop)

I don't get all the hating. I got a 14 Tundra limited 4x4 late 2014 and I love it. Prior to that I had an 2005 f150 that was absolutely awesome. Truth be told my old F150's interior blew toyota away in quality and appearance prior to this new 2014 Tundra when they redid all the cheap looking interior. Not slamming older tundras because I know they are good trucks, but you gotta admit the interior design was pretty poor until recently. I love my 14 Crewmax for the look, the ride, the size and I don't regret not waiting for to see the new F150 for a second. But my old Ford was great too, never had a single issue with it and almost 10 years after I bought it still looked good. Brand loyalty is stupid. I'll start being loyal to a brand the second they pay me, otherwise no hate here.

For sure. The 2nd gen interior was crap. I hated how cheap the dashboard looked, the cheap stereo, etc.
3rd gen layout is so much better.

Hey your talking about my truck now. It isn't luxury but still better than most other trucks interiors. Pretty close to the 2nd gen tacoma's. I like it. I don't disagree that the 3rd gens are very nice.

Hey hey hear!! I'm very happy with the interior on my gen 2!! To me it's a truck and that's why I like it!! I'm not into all the girly stuff in theses new trucks.... They are getting way to fancy for "TRUCKS"... One of my favorite interiors is in the late 70's fords. Metal dash and simple!

Not likely, my boss had one and it wasn't even in the same league. The Tundra interior has come a long way.

Mike, your 95% right, it won't rust, if it's high grade aluminum, which I would imagine it is. The problem you have with aluminum is corrosion. You put that with salt air environment you will have problems eventually, it's not invincible.

Do a google search of an 05 Lariat and an 05 Tundra limited interior. It's not even close. To be honest the 05 interior in looks and design is close to my 14 Tundra and its a 10 year old design. Sorry man it just doesn't compare. That said I love my new Tundra and I'm glad they redid the interior!

2005 Ford interior does look alot like the new 2014 Tundra Interior
