Hella horns install ?

gotta keep myself busy so why not installing some cheap Hella Horns..lol

any of you guys wired some up ? did you use one of those harness with relay they sell on ebay for $10 ?

 

Post some. Ideas after install!

 

Before and after would be amazing to see. I always wanted these but didn’t want a less beefy horn.

This convinced me to NOT install them. Decibels were actually very slightly lower than stock.

I tried upgrading my horn about a year ago. Installed dual trumpet horns with a 12v mini compressor. What a waste of money, they quiet and make a girls high pitch sound. The sound is so bad, I actually disconnected and have no horn now. Unless you going horn blasters or legit air horns- they a sham imho.

 

I saw this on ig and was wondering too. Buy it and let us know how it sounds please haha

 

This is likely a scam web-site. If you order, you'll most likely get a product, but no where near what was advertised or expected. Most social media advertisements are BS. Ran a whois lookup on the domain and it looks shady enough to stay away.

 

Not sure if this would work, but can’t we just buy like 2 or more stock horns and just wire them in with the original horn? Just have to find a place to mount them.

 

If your car has CANbus (which the Tundras do) there is a chance that you cannot wire it directly to the existing wiring. I put a Stebel Nautilus horn on my BMW K1600GT. I used the factory wiring as a trigger for a relay and ran the power wire from the battery. Originally I tried the factory wiring but the horn would blast for 1/2 a second and the CANbus would shut that circuit down. On that circuit, only 10amps draw was allowed. The horn I installed pulls 20amps.
