    None, yet....

You and I have been on the same page about literally everything, but I have to disagree on this one. Not all tuning has to be done for power. If HP Tuners type software existed for Tundra ECMs, I bet you I could get the truck to run a handful more mpgs consistently and still have good power. Then create a separate map completely when the ECM sees the Tow/Haul signal for power and holding gears while towing. Remember, lean = more power and more fuel efficient, but it also creates NOX and high combustion chamber temps which big brother doesn't like.

I put down 300lb ft of torque to the tires starting at 2300rpm and hold it until 5700rpm on my jeep and it's still fat, somewhere in the 12:1, but during cruising it will do 18mpgs with one ton axles and 37s. The tundra could significantly benefit from a more refined VE map. I'd be curious to see how many cells are actually available to see how refined the tune could actually be. Just pipe dreams though....

Even with all the access I have through work, I still can't do what this guy claims to have done.

Email tunes can be pretty good, depends on the tuner. Most people can't and won't get a live tune done, and a tune from a tuner who is spending time building a database of the different calibrations SHOULD be much improved over a canned tune(for us Bullydog). Building the database is important, but it is not like building tunes for every calibration, generally pick the best one, use it, and build the tune. Some calibrations may not play well with others so the custom tuner sorts this out, hence the need for the calibration database. The dyno is only a small part of tuning(mostly quantifying results), actual drivability is the goal, and those two don't always translate very well. My Dyno tunes where not driveable on the street, only for making a big number. It would be great to have more tuning options, hopefully this works out.

I agree, not all tuning is for max HP/TQ. Drivability is another aspect to tuning.

Yep. To make 511 hp out of a PSD motor (7.3 or 6.0), the motor is coming out. I have driven a 490 hp 2000 F350 and it was pretty bad ass. He had a wad of cash in it as well.

I'm on my phone, was that oil dropping out onto the ground?

Honestly, I would have been very happy with the 87 octane tune (yes, I know Luis) that Bullydog put out. I ran it until I realized my truck started thinking it was running ethanol and had to have Toyota flash it back to the stock program ending in 600 that solved those problems. No, I didn't have it on a dyno, but you could tell there was more low end tq. I was very happy with that and the changes made to the transmission. It made the truck feel responsive and not stock/lazy. Unfortunately, every call to them about incorporating the correct algorithm for ffv went unanswered.

I'm hopeful, but just waiting to see.

Yes, that truck made 600hp a little$$$ later. One of my nastier creations, so much fun. Used to work beside the White House, it was not the wisest choice for that commute, but it was fun, and I have some indispensable memories!

Oh it was coolant, every year new heads, gaskets etc.. 6.leaker...

So what was dropping out the front?

I just bought a bully dog gt for my truck, I really don't need the tunes though its nice. I want to be able to adjust tire size, watch parameters, and turnoff my damn seatbelt alarm I wear my seatbelt anyways before anyone says anything. cant beat the $175 I paid for it used!
