I ordered my front bumper end cap replacements to get rid of the chrome on my limited. Anyone have any video links on how to complete? Or any guidance? All I see on YouTube is placing caps over the existing ones. Thanks.

RobMotive on YouTube shows how to put the caps on. He didn't replace the bumper, just the caps.

First-time poster. Been visiting the forum as a guest for a while now.

I just had my bumper caps powder coated last week. Found that the easiest way to access them was just to remove the front bumper. Laying the bumper down makes removal and reinstallation of the bumper ends super easy.

I did the whole job solo, and I’m far from a pro. Overall, it’s not too bad. If you have someone to help hold the bumper in alignment during reinstallation, it will be even easier.

    I followed this video:

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

Sorry...what kind of screws are holding onto the caps and the valance together? I see 3 holes.

Once you remove the front bumper, you'll see 6 sleeve bolts/nuts (i dont know the exact term) (3 on each side) of the front valance. Loosen the nuts to switch out the end caps.

All done. The reinstall would have been easier with two people but i was able to do it solo.

Truck looks nice. Where did you purchase the end caps. I would like to replace both front and back on my tundra.

Are those black textured like the center section of the bumper?
    Do you have a link?

Looks nice. I hate chrome. I was going to do this but just replaced my whole bumper instead.

Do the bumper end caps go directly over the chrome or can you take the chrome ones off and replace them with the end caps, trying to find out any information on this.

You replace the whole cap entirely. Unless you get those caps that stock onto the chrome but those, in my opinion, aren't as good as replacing the whole part.

I definitely don’t want something that just goes over it because of the chance of any chrome showing. Do you happen to know if the end caps on extreme terrain are the ones that go over it or the replaceable ones?

They are the ones that replace the chrome ones. I was just on their website and they had some that are open box discount. I bought the drivers side because it was listed as “scratched”, but when it arrived it had MINOR scuffs. Rockauto also has some for $50 right now.
