I really like that. How far does it stand off the side of the bed? I've got a truck box and I'm curious if I have enough room between the bed and the box to slide that in at the front.

Would you mind measuring or taking a pic please?

QUOTE="solidsnake, post: 1717763, member: 15533"]@AK-in-MI What is the crossbar setup that you have?[/QUOTE]

It is a pieced together setup. I used some Stake pocket tie down anchors with some aluminum spacers to raise it off the bed rail. I then used 2 old bed rail system rails and mounted them on the stake pockets. I ordered these crossbars from Amazon and mounted them on the rail system with
t-slot nuts. If i need to take off or just slide the rails all I do is loosen the t-slot bolt and I can adjust where the bars go. I am currently using regular stake pocket tie downs (black ones in the picture below) but I just ordered some beefier ones from Magnum truck racks this week. The one on works but I dont like the fact that those little anchors are holding the rack and bikes. I am sure it is fine but why not be solid.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Grab a beer...pic heavy post incoming.

Like many here, I’m sure the quarantine as been good in the sense in that it’s allowed time to do projects that just can’t be done in a weekend, i.e., the valve covers below.

Not all today...actually been across the last two weeks. Started with a little maintenance and then got out the swag sauce.
    So here goes...

    In order, process went:
Started with an oil change (drain). Went with Amsoil and Amsoil (TRD style) oil filter.

    Cleaned S&B Filter and MAF

Changed spark plugs. OEM, Denso iridium

Decided to take the time and take off the lower windshield cowl and finally add the screens for the cabin intakes. I know some have screwed in or used drill and zip ties. I just thoroughly clean everything and used gorilla tape. Glad I did it...amazing the amount of dirt in there!
I also hot welded some fine, black Metal screen under the vented opening. There was only one section from the factory?

    22809284-1652-4DF3-81D6-2C37E6D42D1E.jpg

Next, as the gf says, I ‘Ferrari-ized’ the valve covers.
Once off, I removed the old tube seals, cleaned, sanded and wire brushed (using Dremel), cleaned again, taped off all mounting points and sensor attachments, wiped down with alcohol.
Used VHT Wrinkle paint. Sprayed (3) coats, 10 mins apart. Used heat gun to bring out the wrinkle.
    After cleaning, before tape:
    F3E2C619-6C43-4240-A27C-A6ECC21E1B07.jpg

    After painting, and tape removed:
    314ED101-3773-49AF-8FBD-ED5158CACF61.jpg

I allowed each cover to dry for 48 hrs before remounting. I did one side at a time. So while the first one was drying, I completely cleaned, removed the factory grey tape and completely rewrapped the electrical harness.
    Pass side done...
    2205DCA4-B3AC-473E-8198-2CEA7DFEF7A9.jpg

Repeated the process for the driver.
While the driver vc was drying, along with the electrical harness, I decided to make use of some extra cf vinyl I had (same Sott cf I used on the interior center surround).
Hopefully it will hold up next to the heat of the engine...

Added a new yellow-top, along with some new terminals And a TRD hold-down bracket I’ve had laying around for a few months.
    2BED2B8F-D3C1-4383-B410-A447E27694D0.jpg

During the time I was under the hood, I wiped/ cleaned everything I could reach!
    Here’s everything all back together.
    F4D09D14-B7FB-4BF4-975C-EED31087169A.jpg

Also climbed underneath to add some sensor protectors, after painting the TRD red of course.

Got a few more mods in process right now, so more to come in the next couple days.
    Cheers all!

I received my blacked out BAM exhaust tip from @dirtydeeds today and got it installed. Nice work Keith & team. This is a new design based off a Toyota tip, so the fit and quality are great. Plenty of room to adjust how far our you want the tip.

    Actually not tough at all!

Underneath each side of the wheel is cap cover, with a torx screw (t30, I think). These two screws hold in the air bag/horn section of the wheel.

Gently pull toward self, then up and over toward the instrument cluster and set there on a towel.

You should see four screws, two on each of the steering wheel control pillars, on the top and bottom. Remove the four (total) Phillips screws to access the the steering controls. These units can be lifted out and off of the steering wheel without disconnecting the wire harness. Each will have three smaller Phillips screws on the back to allow for taking the trim piece for paint.

The trickier item was the emblem but that was a cinch to to do too...

Ok truck is still dirty AF but took it back to the shop this morning to have them make some adjustments. Front to back level was right on but discovered drivers side was sitting almost 1/2” Higher.....now have it dialed in and the drivers side is less than 1/8” higher.....advantage of these Toytec’s being adjustable while still installed I guess. Was going for a little less than level with front lower but hopefully it will settle a bit more but looks pretty good.

Leveled it on Tuesday and I finished reinstalling the TRD Pro skid plate on Thursday. Today I just got the tires installed and I'm pretty much shaking with excitement. I love the way it looks!

Great job and nice work on the video! Missed it for my project but it will be helpful for others.

I, too, tried grinding. After some time, I gave up the dremel, grinding route (took too long and too much dust/debris) and used an old chisel. I then used the bench grinder to add some sharpness to the chisel. I just periodically would grind on the chisel some more to keep heat and sharpness in between every so many plastic welds.

Because the chisel was super sharpened and hot, it made short work of the trim, plastic welds, just like butter. The remaining three doors were done in les than 2-3 minutes each!

    Again, great job, looks sharp!
