 I run Alcan. My truck felt entirely different once I installed them, it's been about 8 years and no sag yet.

I look forward to the longevity.

I want to apologize to everyone for asking so many dumb questions. I know I can be a little overwhelming. Once I do something once or twice I have a pretty good hang of it.

No need, we're all here to help. When Hand Model comes back you guys need to have a runway battle.

He has lots more time in on his "showpieces;)" than I do.
    :amen:
I've been wondering where he's been at. Maybe I missed the memo he left, if there is one.

He was one of the first people I talked to here on the site. He helped me out with my load resistors. My interior lighting upgrade. I think I helped him out with the backlight for the foglight button to the left of the steering wheel. If memory serves.

At the time, I had no idea that he was a local legend here.

I am frustrated with this. I may have to go with an amalgamation of all 3 sizes I have.
Tired of shoving it back down for it to pop right back up, and mock me.

Please disregard the hammer marks, and bruising on my finger. Each year my hands shake more, and more. I don't have the dexterity or accuracy I used to.

    What size did you use?
I used 1/2" and haven't had any problems...

I started with 1/2". With how much force I was using to push it in, I retreated. I did not want to replace another windshield due to the same thing as last time: ME.

I tried 1/4", and it worked out for about a week or two. Finally popped back out.

Went with 3/8" this time. Worked about a month I think.

I'm thinking its due to the new windshield. I was scared to push it into the "Void." I noticed with the original windshield it slipped right in easy as you please.;)

Now it's tight as... well it's tight.

Installed Deaver springs today. She has a little rake, but that's not a bad thing.

I also installed my new weatherfleck window deflectors and the drivers side one snapped. I was even being careful!

I took measurements of the rear height before the spring install if you guys are interested in a comparison at all.

Alright. Ill be sure to snag a pic of the new height tomorrow. I did a few more things with the truck, but I don't want to post excessively. Ill save it for tomorrow.

Alright. Ill post the other stuff I did too!

I ground down the rust that was forming in my bumper and decided to paint the whole thing black. I think it looks good.

I also took a closer look at my mesh grill and it has two broken tabs and the bug guard really ate into the top of it. It's gonna take some JB weld to make it work again.

    Edit:
I also got my superbumps for all corners and installed them. I forgot to take pics though.

    Thanks man!

I just got the backup camera. Was recommended a simple Natika camera. Not sure how to install it though. Videos online don't seem to show how to attach it to the truck tailgate handle. Any advice?

You have to drill a hole in the tailgate big enough to fit the end of the camera through. In the box is a nut that hold it in place. I'll try to remember to snap a picture tomorrow.

Put on my new summer wheels and tires:
    They're rubbing. :(

Wheels: Black Rhino Imperial (New to me, very lightly used leftovers in the shop.)
Tires: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac - I went with P265/70 R17 as I don't need a Load-E tire, these will be just fine for what I do and ride a little nicer on my 55-yr old spine.

The different offset/backspacing vs my old rims means these are a more-aggressively stanced wheel/tire combo. Here's some pics from the kids' shop after we installed them (and yes, I know I still need to clean up that rust and repaint):

    tire_shop_1.jpg
    tire_shop_2.jpg
    tire_shop_3.jpg

During the drive home all was good until I made an emergency turn into a local bakery that I thought was closed, but turned out to be still open ... (It happens. True emergency, I swear) And got the dreaded, loud, unmistakable sound of duratracs rubbing, LOL.

Took a good look when I got home, and, while the the more aggressive stance is nice ... (Also, look - no snow!!)
    tire_home_1.jpg

    Unfortunately ...
    tire_home_2.jpg

... As you can see here, it's most-certainly going to rub when braking and turning...
    tire_home_3.jpg

Question 1: Anyone care to tell me if Bilstein 5100's will fix me right up? Just put them up on maybe notch 3 or 4? Still running stock suspension of nearly 20 year old 4600's, LOL. I was planning on putting it up a little, but I'm running out of project money after the wheels and tires - even with my kids discount LOL.

Question 2: Instead of repainting ... has anyone done rhino liner or something similar as a 2-tone paint job on the bottom of their trucks?

If you remove the tailgate handle and put it on a work bench it's really not hard at all. Drilling the hole is one of the easiest parts of the entire process.
