as i'm starting to muck around with the solar install, i'm realizing what a PITA it is to disconnect my batteries. there's so much that needs to be disconnected and removed to yank the dual batteries. whenever i've got to work on the truck, or if someone else needs to work on the truck, the current setup ain't gonna work.

so, i'm thinking about mounting a blue sea disconnect switch onto the accessory tray next to my blue sea acr. my only concern is that the tray is metal and the cables mount on the underside of the switch. there would be minimal clearance between the terminals studs of the switch and the tray. maybe it isn't something to worry about.

anyway, has anyone done this? blue sea wiring diagrams have the switch on the positive side. their install directions specify 4/0 awg cable but i have 1/0 coming from the alternator.

    looking for thoughts and input.
