I was looking for Fox Coilovers and shocks to put on my 2018 Tundra. Have a 6" Pro Comp just waiting until I get some coil overs, shocks and wheels.
Saw these 7" Coilovers that come with the BDS: https://performancelifts.com/fox-20...ift-reservoir-coilover-shocks-883-02-057.html Not sure if they fit my 6". I've contacted a couple of websites but got no clear answer.
Wondering if anyone has fox coilovers on their 6" lift?

Great build! That's the exact suspension setup I'm looking for too how's the ride quality on road compared to stock? Also, I got a couple of questions you; did you have the coilovers and shocks custom-built or if they available online can I get a link or website to go to thanks! And how did the truck feel after the 4.88 gears would they be worth it on a daily driver?

I had my local shop order and install everything from their supplier.. BUT I know their supplier is a retailer as well as we looked at the shocks on line before ordering. The devers were ordered through bds I believe. They were custom made with a 6' lift for the truck. No shackles are used.

As far as ride goes.. it's butter smooth. Better then stock was, and a 1000 times better then a standard 6' block lift. Make sure to order the shocks without spacers for the front... Get a true lift. With 35's.. the 4:88 gears are really good.. but a lot on here are going with the 5:33 package and are really Liking that setup as well. If I did it over.. I might lean towards the 5:33s. As far as daily driving it's great. It rides so smooth.. and you don't buy a tundra for gas mileage, but the gear change helped a bit with bigger tires.

Yes, I was looking at the icon 6" Coilover to get rid of the spacer in the front, their rear shock and have already ordered the icon rxt pack to remove the block in the rear. But I feel they're more of the offroad type Coilover and shock. Might do gears down the line spending a lot at once! Just wanna upgrade this kit and remove front spacers and blocks

It's a costly investment for sure. If they have an option for clickers on the rezz, get it for the fronts. Then you can adjust to the softest setting when your around town, but click it a few times to stiffen it up for offroading. Works great for me. But it isn't a cheap add on

Might just go for the Icon's they're probably cheaper and I'm already above my budget after falling in love with some forged fuel wheels. Icon's at softest seem like the best option.

I was going for BDS at first but realized just how expensive the wheels were and the "Boss" has become alert after seeing I had a warning on my card :spending: Got to keep it down even though I want to go crazy

oh, I feel you for sure. I have a separate credit card that the boss doesn't have access to. Having said that I am on my second marriage as well, haha. it's a labor of love because the money just can't be thrown down all at once. After the shocks and devers, definitely go with the gear change. I have you get 35 inch tires for bigger I think I would do the 533 gear change

I was thinking 4.88 not going bigger than 35's

Before I added the super charger, I kinda wished I had the 5:33. If I was going up most inclines on the road, even slight, the truck would still have to shift into 5th gear. Thats the part I didnt like. It wouldnt hold 6th well. Now, if you added a OVTune to the truck with the 4:88 gears, then I think you wouldnt have any problems. For a good engine mod the OVTune is a great buy. I use it with my supercharger, but they also have tunes for natually aspirated motors as well. Their tunes do wonders to wake up the motor, but also give smooth power as well

Watching to see what you decide. Running a 6 inch pro comp kit with thier coils up front fox 2.0 in rear blower 4.88s and 37s. Just bought the ov tune...I'm on the fence on what to do with mine. The pro comp coils ride ok and have a killer price point $800. I dont off road ever. Rear I have coach builder shackles and ome drakar leafs. I cant shake the idea that it might ride better with a fox or icon or radflo coil up front. Expensive idea I cant shake...

Going to take me a bit time, wheels coming in 3 and a half weeks. Going to run with the icons.

Where do you feel the most bumps on your ride? Front, rear .. both? With that info, we might be able to give you more info. You could also just send the coilovers to get revalved to your liking. There are plenty of off-road shops that can do that. Off rhe shelf valving is hardly ever great. If you never off-road.. send them off and have them revalved and/or re spring for a cushy ride. He'll He a lot cheaper then buying new coilovers

Will do! Damn forged wheels take a whole month to be made. Not sure about the shipping yet :annoyed:

I am also looking for Coilovers and looking at the vertex with res. Anyone had experience with them. Only 1k instead of 2.3 k for fox 2.5. Need help in deciding. The ride now sucks and have pro Comp 6” lift with blocks on original in front.

Do they ride smoother than original? I have spinal cord injury and the bumps in the road hurt. When I go off roading I prepare but daily driving sucks

Are you set on Fox ? The reason I ask is there are other coilovers that can replace the spacer.

Procomp carries a set for a grand and RC carries two types, a full coilover or an extended coilover that uses your oem coils. Ask me how I know this shit ! Lol, good luck. This is how I dumped my spacer for 250 bucks..

It's what comes with any basic drop down bracket lift. The top piece is an extension to match the longer spindles. The 2 inch preload spacer is what gives the shitty ride..
