Brought home the Platinum last May. By June we were pregnant so I knew I had some time to get in a few mods before the baby.

    1) First things I got done right away a) bed Line-X'ed b) 35% tint all around which makes the back around 5% now c) PPF on the whole front d) ceramic coated
    IMG_2423.jpg

    2) 17"+0 Method MR701 in matte black wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5R17. Wheels clear the calipers by ONLY millimeters in the front.
    IMG_2427.jpg

    3) Rokblokz Mud Flaps. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally didn't like any of the fender flare options (I returned 2 sets!) but wasn't ready to have rocks thrown up the side of my $50k truck. Wife's highlander in background. We're a Toyota family.
    IMG_2428.jpg

    4) Tyger Auto Steps. Great quality for the price. I spent $270 for the pair. Bolted on perfectly. Put traction tape over the step areas with the stars and logo as I thought it looked tacky.
    IMG_2425.jpg

    5) Added Husky X-Act Contour weather liners. They have great fitment. I love the rubbery feel unlike the Weathertech which has a plastic more slippery feel. The aluminum pedals are a keepsake from my 1996 Accord during my "ricer" days in college.
    IMG_2419.jpg IMG_2420.jpg

    6) Added a 41" lightbar into the bulge. Wired it into the cabin trying to keep it as OEM as possible. Also did the differential breather relocation at this time. You can see my 15 year old 350Z sleeping under the cover if you look closely. Bought her new off the lot and it has 69K miles currently. Don't get a chance to drive it much these days.
    IMG_2433.jpg IMG_2441.jpg

    7) Toytec 3/1.5 Spacer lift. I work 3 miles from home and don't off-road. Spacer lift fit my situation the best. My dad and I did a BMC at home to fit the tires. Good to have a welder in the family.
    IMG_2436.jpg

    8) LED puddle lights. It should come with this stock. So much brighter.
    IMG_2417.jpg

    9) Interior LEDs
    IMG_2440.jpg

    10) Cheesin'. Figured why not go double on the stickers for laughs. You can see how dark the rear tint is in this picture. IMG_2422.jpg

    11) My 3 week old new pride and joy.

My boy just turned 20 months which was my reason to get a Tundra Crewmax. Last truck wouldn’t fit a car seat comfortably.
    I also have a 350z, a 2008 with 44k miles...averaging about 200 miles a year for the past 3 years.

Enjoy every second, he will change every week!

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

Congrats on the 2nd one! Kids definitely take work. We want 2 but the current lack of sleep makes it hard to think about it just yet.

    Thank you sir!

Was just telling my wife he's noticeably grown since we brought him home. That's also the reason we got the Tundra, when we knew we'd be trying. That's so funny about the Z! Mine is a 2005. It was a DD from 2005-2011 and had 55k miles by then. In the last 9 years, I've only put on 14k with the last 3 years averaging 200 miles a year also!

We were back at the hospital this morning for a follow-up, and I looked up at the room we stayed in for 5 days. It seemed so long ago already. It's been a blessing that through COVID I had to take "paternity" leave and stay home from work. I've gotten to spend more time than I would have with him.

Thanks! I prefer meaty tires and the smallest wheels I can fit. And the side bulge also gives it that meaner look IMO.

@t4r2tundra Your welcome man, you actually have the same set up I have been wanting to go for minus that I want the Method NV's, same size at 17 though with the same tires. So glad to see someone has the EXACT thing I'm going for.

Thanks! Remember you will need BMC and fender liner pushed forward with 3" lift. Also make sure they place the balancing weights on the most outside edge of the rim (closest to the inside of the spokes) or else it will/may hit the calipers.

Thanks. I've only seen two 1794's in this color. I have not seen another platinum in this color since I've owned it for the past year. I like the uniqueness.

He gets it from his mom. Thanks!

Small addition to continue black out theme. Planning to black out the emblems and change the muffler tip to black, but Toyota does not have color-matched door handles or mirrorcaps in smoke mesquite. They just don't make them. The one time this unique color fails. Not sure if changing to black plastic caps and handles will make the truck look cheaper, painting it myself if I can find the paint, or just leaving them chrome.
