I got in my Tundra this morning and noticed my odometer. I bought my truck last Memorial Day (5-29-17). Back in my younger days I used to put this many miles on a car within a couple of months, easy. I know I’m getting older but this was a nice Monday morning “how do ya do”. I guess it’s good and bad

I used to put 10 to 15 K a year on my vehicles. Granted I used to show up at the job sites in my personal vehicle but usually it was no more than 15 miles away at the most. Most of those miles were racked up taking cruises with my friends along the Esplanade down by the beach. We also used to do a lot of adventure drives. Go to the mountains for the day or cruise through Malibu just taking in all of our surroundings. Now I’ve seen it all so I usually wait for dedicated trips. My truck is three years old and I just hit 20,000. A lot of these miles were driving to school to further my education and trips to the in-laws in Vegas. I have some what become a mile hoarder. I try not to drive just to drive. I try to take the wife’s car when possible.

Haha biggest old man moment was recently. I told my kid to turn the goddamn stuff you call music down! Its crap by the way. Then I went to the garage and blasted some Avenged sevenfold as well as some 70s rock. That’s real music haha. Funny thing when I was her age I didn’t care for rap at all. But then as I got older I got into Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg etc.

Still some of the music out there sucks balls.
Back in my day music was pure (in my best old man voice while shaking my cane) if it was too loud you were too old.

Reminds me of pulling into a gas station as a teenager. When I got out a lady said to me, "that music is too loud." My friend, the driver, turned it up louder. The song was AC/DC, Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution.

Low miles, garage kept, never seen salt, never towed a trailer, never seen mud, only used for the occasional buying 1 item at home depot and using 12 ratchet straps to hold my one 8 foot 2x4 down. Couldn't help myself lol.
It'll be 2 years in March for my truck.
But it never gets old for me.

I hit 50 in February and still feel like I am 25.
Well, I behave like it my wife says.

Only ~30,000 miles on my 2015....guess I had better face up to reality! Ha Ha

I still drive a good bit for my age... I put 20k general purpose miles on my '07 over the last 31 months, the rest of the miles went on my '02 work truck.
