How did you get the wires into the connectors? It seems like they just bend before the seat. I have not really tried to set them yet, because I am not sure of the polarization.

I didn't really have any issue getting them to seat. Pushed them in and had to give it a little force in pushing that little rubber grommet thing in and they set. I was stupid and accidentally reversed them in the first one I did but actually got them out relatively easily. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@eledobleu I got my fogs and just opened them after being on vacation and one of the mounting tabs is broken. I can send you pics if you would want. Box wasn't damaged at all, but the tab has a clean break.

Not sure how I should handle this, but I figured I would post on here first.

Just installed mine today. They look much better than stock fogs.

On the drivers side fog, factory connector has a blue wire and a white wire with stripe. On the fog, the red wire connects to the blue and the black wire connects to the white wire with stripe.

On the passengers side, factory connector has a tan wire and a white wire. The red fog wire connects to the tan wire and the black wire connects to the white wire.

Getting the connectors pushed into the housing wasn't too bad if you orient them the right way. The "toothy parts" face in.

Output is good. Although a lot more directed, naturally since it's a projector. So it's more focused and has the nice sharp cutoff. Almost might not look bright when you're looking at them til you get down low to where the projector is aimed and see how bright they actually are. Nice color too.

Left is the new Morimoto and right is the factory fog. Really like the black housing to "clean up" the front end. Retrofits are definitely in my near future.

    Night shot to follow...

So I ordered a set of these and installed them before I made a 1700 mile drive from Los Angeles to Kansas for Christmas.

Here is the output. I didn't include a before pic because almost all of you know what those look like. If not, go outside and turn on your truck. It's basically the same color and brightness as the headlights.

    IMG_2148.jpg

Anyway, these things are BRIGHT!! I drove around town and didn't really notice much of a difference while in town, so I was slightly bummed. I waited until the long drive to truly make judgement on these though.

We just finished the drive and arrived yesterday at 6pm. All I can say is, holy shit these things are worth it!!! We drove through rain from Long Beach, CA to about the west side of New Mexico. After that though, the temp and sun dropped and we hit fog. Like the kind of fog you see on movies where you can literally see 5 feet in front of you and that's it. This is where these things shine, pun intended! I don't think we would of made it through most of that at the speed we did, without these things. The spread patter in huge and wide enough that if I drive in a center lane of a 6 lane highway, the fog lights will light up both ditches. This is great, especially when driving at night and keeping an eye out for deer and armadillos. The throw was also significant, but not blinding since the cutoff is super sharp as seen in the pic above.

Seriously, one of the best investments I've made for the truck! I love how they clean up the front end and light output awesome.

The only downfall I would say there is, is that the fit could be slightly better. I could modify the housings for a better fit, but then that would defeat the point of buying tundra specific led fog lights..?

Overall though, really happy with these!

    Hope this helps!

I just installed these last weekend in my 2016. Really like the output and the projector style! @eledobleu I do have a question about the color. Mine seem to have a slightly purple color. Is this normal or has anyone else experienced this? Below is a pic (not very good but you can tell a difference). I have 6000k morimoto hid headlights and you can see the fogs are way different. Did I miss a protective film that should have been removed before install? Any help, suggestions are greatly appreciated.IMG_3606.jpg

Color is right. LED color is around 5600k. Morimoto Bulbs color temps arent accurate. 55k = around 49k, 6k= around 52-53k.

    I
I'm a little confused. I thought 6000k is pure white. 4K is more yellow, 8k is blueish and 10k is where you see purple. If my headlights are actually 52k the fogs should be almost a perfect match at 56k right?

I installed my fogs and like the color. I still have the original halogen headlights so the Morimotos are very white compared to them.
