There was an auction today for 537 guns longline only locally. A gun shop decided to sell out due to age and health. Had all the usual brands you would expect. Mostly handguns and rifles. There were some deals to be had if you were patient and looking for something other than Glock 9mm. By the time you added 10% buyers premium and tax, Glocks were going for what you would expect to pay if you walked into Bass Pro, Cabella's, Rural King. Some of the expensive Kimber's, Sig Legion went for a couple hundred less than retail.

Once you got away from Glock or 9mm there were some sect deals. I ended up buying 2 guns:

Ruger LC380- New in case with 2 magazines and holster. I won the auction for $270. Most online stores are selling it for $379 - $469 and I got some extras with it so I was happy.

Ruger SR22 - Bought this .22 to blow through rounds at the range and for the wife. She is all about guns but has never shot before so I thought this would be a good choice for her to practice and get started. I paid $270 also and that includes the gun and 2 magazines, grips, etc... I was pleased as that is about $100 less than retail gun shops.

All in all it was interesting and fun to be a part of. I low balled a couple others and lost out barely or I would be taking more home. I am going to pick up early next week.
