What model aircraft is on the other side of the "Remove Before Flight" tag?

The tag was bought in the company store; not an actual one from the flight line.

Well, even when the weather still pouring rain, I knew I was getting wet when these arrived:
    EF466C21-2503-4DDE-9C45-ED4F9FC5627A.jpg

I've had three different dealerships tell me the OEM tow mirrors won't work on the 2020. My dealership even pointed to an open set of mirrors behind their counter and said "We tried; they didn't work". A little voice in the back of my head was calling BS, but I didn't want to be the first to try them out. Then @Pcola-Yota went first with some aftermarket mirrors and was successful. So I took the plunge and ordered a set of OEM. I think why dealerships are saying "No" is because of the BSM. The mirrors don't have them, but neither does the TRD Pro.

Yep, they work. All I had to worry about was the mirror motors and defrost. No issues there. The added bonus are the LED parking lights work. There's a top and bottom LED stack in the mirror. The top flash when I lock/unlock the truck. The bottom turn on with the parking lights.

Overall I'm really happy. They work a lot better than the stock mirrors, but I wish they were even larger so the convex mirror could cover both my rear wheels (when reversing) and the blind spot. They look a hell of a lot better too. Real trucks should have real mirrors...

Looks great! Now all you have to do is remove those amber lenses and put some smoked lenses in. Great build!

Christmas gift mod day. They are the wireless phone charging tray, SDHQ ABS shields, LED reverse and parking lights, some American flag stem caps and t-slot nuts.
    2BC68B90-684D-4430-84E5-B372F61F1669.jpg

Gotta start with the wireless charger. No instructions were provided, so I just went to @RobMotive's YouTube site. I eventually printed the instructions from Spark's website, but never used them. It looks great and works like a champ. I have a Magpul case on my iPhone 8; no issues. Still trying to decide if I'm going to reuse the TRD logo or get something custom...
    EDA7E5DB-95B5-4718-A622-290848710C15.jpg 97EC319B-4542-41E7-99F1-EEA3244948BD.jpg 65AAC3AA-4F18-45FD-B2ED-67ECCB6150C5.jpg

Stock stem caps are ugly. Now they are not. These feel like aluminum and they're larger, so easier to remove.
    6B8FDF03-145F-4721-AD55-7CC8A464AA30.jpg 0687E1B9-AAF8-479C-BAE9-15B33BE4AB3D.jpg

LED lights were next. The reverse lights were really easy and very bright. No picture since I had my wife's phone with me (getting wireless charger pics) when I tested them. But she squinted and turned away. Will be interesting to see their awesomeness tonight. The parking lights didn't work. Thought I ordered the right PN from another post here, but maybe not. These were a PITA to install only because I had to move the battery and washer fluid reservoir so my booger-pickers could reach the bulbs. Otherwise very simple. Picture of the failure with the truck running and all the lights glowing (except these)
    C7508694-CD40-42D2-B857-D94EFF08AEE6.jpg

These T-slot nuts are solid. Expensive even on Amazon, but fit great. I'll be using them to hold some gear this summer while camping (Fire extinguisher, shovel, axe, etc.). Stay tuned for more pics; I still need a trip to the hardware store for bolts that will fit.
    626E3D90-ED10-46D1-8589-54F4983A5431.jpg

Finally, the ABS shields from SDHQ. I only did the front ones today. I was getting hangry, it was cold and my fingers had reached their quota of bandaids for the day. I'll do the rears this spring when it's warm and I can put the rear wheels up on some ramps to give me more room to move. But, very happy...

That metal stem caps is a No, No.

This is not me but nor have I have had such experience but I've read this issue on other forums about the metal caps got stuck on the stem.
Here is an example of one of many people talking about it on youtube.

Really...interesting. I'll do some research on that. I guess now that I'm thinking about it, two dissimilar metals could have issues. Especially with corrosive deicer. Thanks for the tip!

    Working on it!
Agree on this one...everyone says the metal "corrode welds" together (TPMS stem to metal cap). Here's a pretty decent article about it: https://www.liveabout.com/achey-breakey-parts-tpms-and-corrosion-3234362

I love it...although, I'm finding I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I'm really liking Apple Carplay, so I normally just connect my phone to the truck. If the Tundra supported wireless Apple Carplay, the wireless charger would be perfect.

I totally agree. It’s funny why Apple needed a wired solution for CarPlay. I love using it too for WAZE when I’m driving with GPS.

I have a pop socket and a cradle (see picture) with a 12” red cord (looks great) so it’s nice and tight. I don’t like the long white Apple cords.

When I first saw your "Remove Before Flight" lanyard I thought there was another Ordnance guy on the forums. I have multiple from when I was in the military placing bombs and missiles on the aircraft. I just picked up an AG tundra and will be following for more awesome build additions. Good work!

Small updates: Got a set of Rigid amber covers for the fog lights from Amazon and some decals from TVD. I've got their "Tundra" stickers for the interior waiting for when I have the time to do it right.

I'm amazed how focused the light is off the Rigid lights. A few white colored cars passed me last night and the yellow looked like the bottom paint on a two-tone paint job. The cut-off line was nice and crisp. White on top; yellow on the bottom.

Don’t know why they didn’t add parking sensors and BSM on the American models TRD PRO.

Hey GT >>> I love the amber RIGID fog light covers. Please send me the exact link. The one I clicked on was generic to Tundras on Amazon. Also, if I may suggest getting the nice grille badge instead of the stickers. I bought the stickers at first too... .but quickly upgraded. https://tacovinyl.com/products/standard-grille-badge?variant=29484358926439

@freedomoftime I like your badge, but like the stickers better...

Here's the actual link. The price is per cover, so you need to order two. There are a couple reviews on YT of these and they work pretty cool...I might get the green for Seahawk season...

I didn't check the link; thought it was just for your version. The one with the colors I have is pretty sick. I might go that route if these decals don't last.

You'd better check what you ordered on Amazon. If I remember correctly, the green shows a green cover but is labeled Smoke. Both are available and when I read through the notes I couldn't decide which was correct. You might have ordered the smoke color.

I had the green's bookmarked from another vendor.

Shit... you were right.... it said smoke. I just put in a cancel request and I'll just buy the amber for now like you have.

    Good looking out!

Edit: Removed decals. The more AJT dechrome stuff I installed, the more obvious the color difference became.

Got the Tundra decals installed. This job needs to be done when I'm not loaded up on caffeine and not freaking out I'm dumping a bunch of pollen into the truck with the doors opened...they're not perfect, but still looks pretty good.

These are the 078 Foliage Green from TVD. https://www.etsy.com/listing/728366...2014-2020?ref=shop_home_active_22&pro=1&frs=1

The color is not a perfect match, but the sun in this picture is making the color difference worse than it is...

Continuing with easy changes in the interior, I plasti-dipped the shifter and cup holder rings. I'm not sold on the AJT design that everyone likes, so I'm testing this out.

You can see one snag in my work that got pulled off when I removed the wrap, but overall I like the look. I'll probably leave it until it starts to fail and then do a permanent rattle-can solution.

Hmmm, think I need to keep screwing on the shift knob...

I really like those TUNDRA interior stickers.

Yes, I definitely love my blackout AJT Design mods. I like the old school “Tonka Truck” look.

Are you gonna get the black shift knob too or do you like some chrome in your interior?
