What is the rubber weather strip around the perimeter of the windshield called?

Mine is cracking and I want to order replacement parts, but I don't know it's official name.

    Thanks.

Before you spend any money on parts, you may want to check with an auto glass company or body shop to see if the dam can be replaced without a windshield installation. Note there are no retainers indicated on the parts schematic. Dams have been around since the first glue-in windshields. Dams control the adhesive "squeeze-out" away from areas where it will be a messy clean up. I'm thinking the windshield adhesive is what keeps the dam in place.

Good tip, I will check with one of those shops before doing anything else.

    Thank you.

    No problem.

Some people call them that, yes. Toyota just calls them windshield moldings.

 Sorry, @Rex Kramer, I looked close at your pic but didn't see the moldings. That's why @Roman gets paid the big bucks.

Should probably find out about retainers if there's moldings. If the moldings are like my 4Runner, there will be at least two different retainer types, and you'll probably break a few.
