I've been searching around and message a member about the size of our stock exhaust. I know the tip is 3 inches but what about when you go back to the standard size before it expands at the tip? I want to order a new tip and cut out the existing tip. I've seen people mentioning 2.75, 2.5 and 2.25. :help:

This is what I was thinking of getting.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/372786390536

I came across reviews of people not being happy with tail pipe changing colors or getting black coated pipes that don't hold up. I figured if I need to spruse up the tail pipe I can easily take it off. I just want to know the size of the exhaust system before it goes to the stock tail pipe. I guess I can chop it off and go from there but I figured people on this forum would know. Have a good weekend tundra dudes and dudettes!

I agree with 2.75” but it just barely worked for me. With the clamp as tight as it would go I still needed an exhaust shop to throw tack weld on. I think it varies from truck to truck. I wish I went with a 2.5” in hindsight.
