I sent @papasmurf a DM to get this started back in Feb for an MT, I'm sure he was busy before that and the current circumstances will slow it down more.

Just made a call to Deaver today about getting my leafs rebuilt for the GFC and other amenities. Set a date and everything but then entertained the question to Jeff about cantilever kits and carrying heavy load with SUA. Lots of the Tacoma guys (my background) say not a lot of weight with SUA. So I asked him about it. He brought up the topic of some guys getting him to build them 3” leaf packs for them and he didn’t know if there was a thread on it somewhere about the results. All he said he heard was good things.

Well I think this truck would be absolutely sick with a LSK Cantilever kit on it along with the 3” leafpacks. Not big into cutting into the bed cause of the GFC and decker system so I think this is the perfect fit for my truck. Only question is will it work with the cantilever kit? I have no doubts there will be limitations to it but who knows

I'm familiar with the LSK kit but don't really know much about cantilever setups. I have spoken with a couple people like Tim at DMZ. He convinced me that tuning a cantilever system would be very challenging.......at best. It's kinda hard to beat the 1 to 1 ratio with a bed cage. Anything is possible, it just might cost more in tuning to get it truly dialed.
And yes, the 3" leafs (V420) pack are pretty amazing.

I know that deaver can make them to your specs, but what exactly are these specs? Lift height and weight they'll handle? +500?

I have about 5” lift loaded. Have no idea on weight, but my truck is a fat pig that stays loaded, 21 gallons water, 2 37” spares, RTT, water system, refrigerator, etc.. Huge difference, and I had modded I96 HD before these. Don’t think they will work on a normally empty truck.16A5D14A-87CC-4D31-B727-E8B853D3B86F.jpg

Agreed with @Vizsla, probably not good for an empty truck. But I believe, even though they don't say V420, that those are what I have and that someone was actually :rasta: and forgot to put it on the label.

Was wondering if you guys had the driver side slightly modified to carry more weight to compensate for 36-gallon tanks. I don't know a lot about the tundras having a "lean" like the tacoma's do but when you fully fill up the tacomas they will kind of have a "lean" till you get past half a tank.
