Dealer informed me that the Entune HU software in my 2014 was corrupt - by the way - it went white screen on me and for some reason started to pull a parasitic draw on my battery. They recommended I replace on my own to save some $$$$. I was "told" my Entune (with no Nav) is compatible from 2014 - 2019. Researching ebay - and Entune HUs, plug and play seemed accurate - exactly the same. So, I bought and installed HU from a 2019 Tundra. Worked perfectly!!!!. But, I still have that parasitic battery draw from the 20 amp fuse running the HU. Battery will go dead if I don't start truck for about 3 days. If I pull the HU fuse - truck can sit for a month and start up like new.
Took truck back in to dealer for diagnosis - was told 2019 HU was not compatible. That does not explain the parasitic draw. Also, I drove in to dealer, popped the hood, plugged in the fuse, started truck and cranked the radio and showed backup camera - worked like a charm. They were unable to diagnose the parasitic draw after having 2 "master techs" attempt to diagnose. So - to the question for you all - Could this 2019 Entune actually work but still pull a parasitic draw on my battery? Do I need to install a 2014 Entune HU? Or - perhaps the draw from that fuse is coming from something other than the HU??? For now - the truck (which is detailed and for sale) sits in my driveway.....ARGH....any help out there???

I hope you get this fixed. I don't have an answer for the parasitic draw. But I can tell you I swapped a 2017 HU into my 2014 with no issues. I have also read on this forum that 2019 head units have been swapped into 14-19 trucks without issues..

Thank you Jeremy - this one is a head scratcher. Dealer Service Dept Manager actually told me to take it to another Toyota Dealer Service Department. Or, replace HU with aftermarket - which will cost me another several hundred dollars. They had no answer to my obvious question, "what if I spend more money and the battery draw still exists?" Blank stares - good question I guess.
Sent email to Toyota Corporate, very detailed, a few days back with no response yet.
I'll keep this thread up to date as I receive updates to hopefully help others in a similar situation.

Hi Viktor - it's the 20 amp (lime green) fuse in the fuse box under the hood.
I will be letting the truck sit (not start) for a few days - then give it a try - if battery is compromised - well - hmmmm - guess I'll keep digging at Toyota Dealer - I'm certainly no master technician!

What is the fuse labeled as? I was going to look up what circuits it powers up other than the head unit. The colour of the fuse doesn’t really tell me anything ;)
The fuses are all labeled on the fuse box lid

LOL - that cracks me up - sorry - I don't have the fuse map handy, but Toyota confirmed it is the audio fuse. And, said it pwers nothing other than th head unit....Now I am starting to think the original HeadUnit they had me replace was good....darn!!!
Thanks Viktor.....I have a few crayon shade color jokes, but I'll keep those to myself.....LOL

I think it’s the amp fuse. Just took a look at mine and the only lime green 20A fuses are amp and deicer

Thank everyone for chiming in on this - Tundra is pristine and for sale - at least until I get this little glitch fixed. I'll try to attach a few pics of fuse box and fuse under hood.

Sorry - large pics. 20 amp fuse powers radio no 1 and amp. I replace Head Unit along with amp. If if don't want truck to go dead, I simply shift the fuse to the open slot to right.

There should be some parasitic draw from the head unit for clock but very low. Also I remember reading somewhere that there’s some parasitic draw for some time after you shut down and then it drops off after a set time from other sources in the vehicle.
