I just purchased a 2016 Tundra SR5 with a 6 inch lift and the dealer told me to keep the Park Assist off because they wont work since the truck is lifted. I asked them if the Sonars could just be re-calibrated and they said no.Anyone know if this is true or is the dealer just being lazy since the repair/re-calibration would be free with my extended warranty???

I sit about 3 inches + tire size difference higher than you (8.5 lift on 38s) and my parking sensors still work fine. Thats probably your dealers way of covering his own ass so he can say he warned you.

Exactly, I don't understand why the system wouldn't work with a lift. The only thing I would think the sensors a seeing things a little higher. You might run over things that are below the sensors reach.

The sensors in mine don't seem to be that sensitive. You have to get pretty close to an object for them to beep. Front needs an angle to it also. meaning you have to be turning into things to beep.

I think the extra 6" lift, makes it even less sensitive for smaller or shorter objects below the fender level.

Can you adjust the sensitivity or the warning distance by calibration? What's the process like?

I just bought one privately a month ago, 3 of the sensors dont work..it seem they are short lived. I am glad the camera works which is all i need.
