I have just installed a RF DSR1 in a 2020 CM along with a an Alpine PDX-V9 5ch amp, and all new speakers. I have watched and read all videos and forum write ups I could find trying to figure out why I have absolutely no sound coming out of my system.
I, and Crutchfield felt it was a bad DSR1, I ordered another unit along with a fresh T03 T-Harness from another sources Crutchfield was back ordered. Installed the new DSR1 and T03, the DSR1 was updated and programmed by the retailer , and still have no sound.

My radio and controls appear to be functioning normally, the indicator lights on the DSR1 are flashing green 7 times, then 1 long white flash, which is suppose to indicate everything is fine with it. I have checked over the wiring a dozen times, reinstalled the perfect tune app a few times, looked for something in my radio settings, all to no avail.

I would like to have been able to take my truck to James Taylor, but that is a no-go during this "lock-down", especially because he is over the state line. Just thought I would throw this out there in hopes maybe someone else has dealt with this before . Any good ideas ? Thanks .

Hmmm...I just plugged it in. Did you check the DSR1 settings? I know you said the retailer updated and programmed it but who knows if they did that correctly? You’re sure the amp works? Yup, 7 green and a white means it’s receiving a signal. I don’t think the DSR1 is the problem. I’d look at the amp.

Also...the TO3 is complicated. It connects stock HU to DSR1 but also returns the output signal of the amp back to the stock harnesses to power speakers. Do you have a picture of the setup?

Thanks for the reply, the retailer was tech12volts, so I trust the updating and programming is definitely good. I have run out of things to look at or check, I mean it's a pretty simple setup, wiring wise it's pretty much plug and play. The amp worked just fine in my old truck, it powers up just fine.

Does your amp have lights on it indicating it is functioning properly. Did you check your ground? How about the fuse under the hood?

That looks correct....amp is getting power? No protection mode? Did you check ground and fuses?

Yep, I double checked the fuses and ground. I did tun the punch EQ knob 1/2 way up, I didn't want to blow my neighbors out just in case . It just seems like it has to be some stupid setting or "check box", but dammed if I can find it !

Do you have something that can put out a signal to rca’s? Like a cable from your laptop to rca. Turn it down but use it to check your amp? And then vice versa, do you have an old crappy boom box or stereo amp you can drag out to the driveway to check the signal coming out of the dsr1? Computer speakers would be perfect

Wouldn't there be the low level input voltage of around 4.5v ac coming out of those RCA's ? I don't know that I have anything "cheap" to drag out there, was just thinking about a multi-meter on the RCA's output ?

I called Idatalink/Maestro techline the other day, they were not even willing to help because "they have not certified the DSR1 to work on a 2020 yet, and they were extremely short handed, and Crutchfield thought it was the DSR1.

Yeah, you cold do that. Not sure if you buttoned everything up but you could do a continuity check from the wires at the amp to the ends of the Metra harness.

I am going to poke around, with my multimeter and see what's what. I just doubted it was a harness issue, as I have just installed another new T02 T-Harness. Who knows, maybe the 23rd time I look this all over I will find something !??

When I was having issues with the volume on my speakers, this is what I did to verify that everything still worked at factory. It did.
So what I did next was redo all my wiring and fixed the settings on my amp. Maybe you have the input level incorrect or the auto on is off. Mine was frequencies were off. I know that’s a check first type thing but since it wasn’t mention (unless I missed it)...

The problem I had was with this jumper in my picture. Not sure but you may be missing that connection it's part of the T03 connector that was extra and all the other wires were not used on this harness. I had lights but no sound until I connected the jumper.

Turn the truck on and push the source button on the radio. My does not have sound until i push one of the buttons, typically the lower left as it is the closest. Also check the input signal setting on the amp

Are you sure the DSR1 is compatible with 2020 HU?

I have a 2020 and my DSR1 woes the job. The only issue with the DSR1 and the 2020 HU is Apple Car Play Nav and Waze don’t come through.

Do your Bluetooth phone calls come through? How is yours set up? It should just be front, rear, sub. If you have dash appearing then the dsr1 will send all commands to those and that will be coming out of the extra rca pair on the dsr1.

I’d check your dsr1 settings for voice prompts. When I was re-flashing mine yesterday the defaults had the voice prompts going through the center channel

Thank you Valut! Didn’t make sense to me but I re-wired everything. I finally decided to try your solution and it worked!
I have high level into the DSR1, then low level RCAs into my amp. No sound until high level input plugged in and light blue wire added to remote.
