Curious how you color matched your bumpers @TunaDr - i'm assuming you painted over the chrome?

proper way is to sand blast it first, prime then paint to match your body color. body shop handled it all for me

    That truck looks great!
Anytime we used to paint chrome bumpers, we would have them blasted first. That was many moons ago, and they make primer a lot better now.

Sorry, might have missed it. What year and trim is your vehicle? My son has my old 2013 Tundra Platinum, looking to do this. He had a tire hit the truck on the highway coming back from visiting a friend at VA Tech and the grill took a hit.

    Thanks!

How do y'all think MGM would look with Aquatic Blue? I like the contrast with the blue and black, but maybe it would look weird. If its all black then you lose the contrast with the center bar...decisions.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I've got Radiant Red, and currently have a factory color matched rock warrior grill that looks great. But I'm looking at getting the Sequoia lights and the Sequoia grill looks awesome with them. And like you, Radiant Red isn't a Sequoia color. So:

    A) keep current color matched grill and be happy
    B) get black surround Sequoia grill with black bar and hope that black looks alright with the rest of the truck
    C) get a perfectly new Sequoia grill and refinish it color matched

I know, I know. But it would hurt my soul sanding down the perfect OEM finish of a brand new grill in order to do a rattle can job (albeit with as much DIY prep and 2k clear to make it decent as possible).

Do it right and spend the money on a real paint job ;). You'll be spending a lot of money on quality lights and quality grill. Do it right the first time.

I can justify headlights since, I mean, you NEED sweet headlights. Right? Safety and all that. But a grill that was already replaced a few years ago on a 10 year old Midwest (rust belt) truck. Then paying to refinish. Oof.

Haha I'd gladly pay a retailer a discounted price for a chipped surround and destroy the factory finish with no qualms. If only that was available.

I'd be good with half what I have in it. $160.00. Would have to ship though so not sure how much that would be. Ever make it to the Phoenix area?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to change the 2nd gen sequoia grille to the 2020 TRD Pro grille while keeping oem headlights?

My gap is pretty good. Still trying to decide what I want to do to it. Considering a large gasket but thinking of adding a contoured aluminum piece painted to match maybe. Still trying to finish the paint job before hell arrives in Phoenix.
