Yep just a small flat head screw driver and you can easily move the liner from the end cap. Takes just a minute to remove that liner. Your gonna want it off cuz you gotta aim the lights to so depending what you go with. The SS3s don’t have an adjustment screw like oem that’s easy to adjust with it on it the truck it has screws that you loosen on both sides so just get them a little snug aim your light pull them off and tighten. Unless you have really small hands you can adjust those on the truck. The only way around not messing the the liner is to remove the fog light bezel and everything as one piece through the the front of the end cap. It’s pressure fitted in there with a couple tabs. Just use a small screwdriver again and pry the top then bottom and the whole assembly will come out through the front.

Y'all are horrible to my bank account. I'm gonna go with pros, but I cant decide between yellow or white. Still have stock halogen bulbs, but will soon change them to led bulbs.
Can anybody sway me one way or the other on color?

Depends. You want aesthetic first then performance or vice versa.
Aesthetic: go with white, it will match other white leds. Those 6k ish cool white.
Then follow with performance. The pro white will still give you lots of output.

    Performance:
Do you want that amber yellow for fog, rain, snow? Harsh weather?

Remember, white light is pretty bad in harsh conditions. Especially rain and snow.

Best thing is you can swap out lense color to suite your need.

Im definitely getting the fog pattern. At first I wanted white since a lot of driving is back roads and I'd rather light up the sides more in case of critters. I have recently been leaning towards the yellow though after seeing pictures of the output and considering harsh weather.

Will the yellow still light up the sides of the road well?

Yes. It does. I have the sport on the wife's rav4. Was following her home one night and i kept thinking, that fog pattern is so wide. Because we drive a lot of 2 lanes highway and at night, i wanted the yellow in case we get caught in bad weather. The led headlights were good for dry season, but once rain and snow hits, it makes it really hard to see the roads line. The white reflects back too much.

You should look at page 8, post #235. That's the yellow output on the wife's rav4.
If you havent watch this vid about the lense swap, you should. It will give you an idea on how the color will look with different lense color.

The yellows will provide far more useable light for all conditions. The output difference between the white and the yellow pros is not that much. I think the yellow provides a more distinctive look and still puts down a tremendous amount of light on the roads. My yellow pros will light up wall to wall on a 5 lane interstate.

Okay. I'm thinking yellow is gonna be the way to go. Just went down a rabbit hole of fog light videos and the yellow looks like a better choice for me.
    Thanks for your help everybody

I have the ss3 pros in yellow and like them a lot. Remember if you do not like the yellow you can install the while lens and have a 4000 Kelvin white fog light vs the standard 6000 kevin white light.

I didn’t get the pro but am happy. Took advantage of lightwerkz 15% off. Wanted to order straight through diode but website said they were out of stock. Switched over from caliraisedled so now I gotta sell those lol...here’s some shots and comparisons

The caliraised look kind of greenish yellow. I much prefer the ss3.

Probably why it looks green. 6k leds and yellow make greenish color. This is where the DDs shine because they use a 4K led so the yellow filter gives a pure yellow light with minimal lumen loss.

So I got them installed yesterday and of course I broke the bracket on the driver side. Ended up pulling of the whole liner and gorilla glued the bracket back to the liner. I then waited a few hours for the gorilla glue to setup but I didn’t give it enough time and it came off during reinstallation. In the end I used some double sided tape, reinstalled everything and was able to snug up those 2 bolts. Seems strong and good enough for me.

when I did the passenger side, I was able to pull the light out thru the front and install it that way. After doing the driver side I realized that there was no blue clip on my ‘18. Wish I had figured that out before doing the driver side somehow.

Thanks again for all the help. Off to the next mod now. RCI skid plate.

I decided to put together a video, albeit a very “amateur” video, showing a few things I learned while installing my SS3’s. Hope it helps someone lol.

I'm guessing it was just me winging it but was confused on which bracket was left and right. After seeing your video, I think I put them backwards....oh well LOL

As long as everything is secure and the lights are aimed properly then you are probably good to go. I drove to work today and they didn’t fall out so I think I’m good

Is there anyone using the flood lights as ditch lights? If so, how do you like them? Pros & Cons?

    Thanks in advance.

Got mine installed last week. I'll have to get a night picture. These are awesome and light up everything I need to see. I also went in through the front of the bumper and pulled the bezel out. I did have to reach up from below to cut free the slack in the wire

What's a good site to get a set of Diode Dynamics? I was looking in lightwerkz and the price seems pretty reasonable.

    Thanks
