First, HR seem like a bunch of really nice people but I've had some issues. I've ordered a bunch of bulbs from them and I've been mostly happy with a few exceptions. The map light bulbs were on backorder which was fine. I received an email at the beginning of March saying we have them and we will send them ASAP. It took another 10+ days to send them because they had moved from one computer system to another and it was "stuck" between systems? Then I had to correct them with respect to which bulbs I was waiting for and that was fine. Now that I received the map bulbs they are the exact same GTR T10 Carbide 2 bulbs they they sent for the cargo lights. I thought it was a different light with a clear lens on them? The map lights are SUPER bright, too bright, but the Carbide 2 have a single directional LED on the end and they seem like they need a diffuser.

Does anyone know which version of the T10 was supposed to be used for the map lights? Wasn't it supposed to be then T10 "Crystal lens 194" bulb?

I believe it's exactly as you expected, which is exactly what I was expecting with the interior and door light 'kits'. Those two kits consisted of eight identical unidirectional lights (The GTR T10 with leds on the end), just like the outside cargo lights, plus a small footwell bulb. No way they would work for either application. I emailed several times but they didn't seem to understand the difference in uni and omnidirectional beam, or the different bulbs pictured on the site. Like you, I just dismissed the round and round as it appears they have some eager but inexperienced staff. I ended up just getting a refund on both of those kits.
After the refund I got an email about "your request (#xxxxxx) has been pending for 5 days and our team is still awaiting your reply." So I responded, to which I received "We are not waiting on a reply. Our returns department will contact you once the process your return." Again, it's been processed, and refunded.
After all that, though, I'd re-order from them. Don't care about how, so long as in the end they do the right thing, which they did.
Sorry you got incorrect bulbs, but you're not the only one.

They replied to my inquiry. GTR no longer makes the T10 with the Crystal lens although it’s still used in their YouTube video and I believe it’s still pictured on the website.

One critique I have with the website is it’s not specific enough - both in terms of what you’re getting or even what you’ve ordered. It uses the package name but does not indicate which bulbs. I had some partially shipped orders and other than the driver side well light it was difficult to figure out which part of which package I received. This was of course before I knew the cargo lights, license plate lights and map lights are all the same bulbs.

Hey OP! Sorry for the late reply to this thread! Things have been very busy on my end so I apologize!

With this kit, I can definitely see the confusion that you are referring to. The Crystal lens T10 was an older bulb we carried and they were great at the time! The lens helped diffuse the light, they fit anywhere, and they were Bright! But we found they failed more often then we liked to see so we replaced it with the updated GTR Lighting Carbide series LED, which has that Silver top with the LEDs on-top. This is a Brighter and more Dependable bulb that we opted to replace the Crystal lens!

We'll get the website updated and add new Photos as well to clarify. I also want to implement a Tagging system, where when the order is picked off the shelves and boxed up, we'll put a Tag through the hangers that bundle the LEDs up so you know what your Interior lights are, your Brake lights, Cargo lights, etc etc. :)

All this talk of Headlight revolution. I've heard of you guys on the site, and am interested. I think I'll peruse the webpage. This is the only negative thread or comment I have seen about you all.

I saw the 2nd gen headlight upgrade thread on here a day or so ago. Looks sweet! That would be cool on my Mom's '08 Sequioa. Anything good for us 1st genners?

After reading this and just doing an LED upgrade, I felt compelled to add my experience with @Headlight Revolution . I ordered the interior LED upgrade "kit", Cargo LED upgrade "kit", Rear brake light/reverse/turn signal LED bulb "kit" and the license plate LED "kit" from them vs Amazon because I wanted a professional product and not some Chinese knockoff that may or may not work.I like kits - its simple, and makes for easy ordering and I'll pay a premium for good customer support. However, their idea of a "kit" seems to be more of a marketing strategy and the customer support is average at best. Notice I put "kit" in quotes because really its not a kit - its just a bunch of bulbs they throw together to send you.

When I received my "kits", it was nothing more than a bunch of LED bulbs of different types/styles in a padded envelope. No order sheet, no cross-reference to which bulb goes with which kit, no invoice, no nothing. I watched the YouTube videos but they are dated, and the bulb types cited in the YouTube videos didn't match the bulbs I received possibly due to changes over time. In any event, I figured it out, and got everything installed and working correctly. Its a pretty easy upgrade and the bulbs work just fine, but the premium you think you are paying for customer support and ease of ordering is a myth.

My personal opinion: @Headlight Revolution has great marketing, and from what I can tell charges a premium over what you can get on Amazon. Like I said, I was willing to pay a premium for a well-structured product and customer service but if I were to do it again - I'd just get the bulb types for each light application and order them from Amazon. The response time from the HR customer service was >48 hours via email. Their business hours are limited too.
