If I get anything, I'll put it towards my quarterly fed tax payment.

The bill clearly states the stimulus check will not be taxable income

Honestly, wish I could opt out. Not that I couldn't make use of the money. I'm still working and I don't NEED the money. Think i'm going to donate to Salvation Army (not that charitable donations help with taxes anymore,I don't itemize).

Yes, there are a lot of people who can use the help.
I will not be getting a check but I think you have the right idea and I would probably have done similar through a few local organizations that we support.

i kicked myself for not buying ford when it was $2 (less than a gallon of gas at the time!) back in 2008 or so. I bought an energy ETF that holds all of the majors, etc. on the way down this time around. “Too big to fail”

The money is designed to help get families by a little longer while out of work. Not that I care what anyone does with the money as thats theirs but on here and a few other forums and pages people are also going over what they are going to buy. Kinda tells me that the people don't really need the stimulus at all. They should give it in food stamps and gas cards haha

He only stopped people coming from vhina when everyone one was calling in racist for doing it. Im sure you were one if them. Don’t be bringing politics to the forum. I think there’s rules on here about this.

If you file head of household the threshold is higher.

I’m probably gonna pay off the credit card I put some mods on and then bank the rest.

It will be going into savings. I'm not one to be paranoid but I have a feeling the worst of the economic impact from this is yet to come.
What happens when employers realize they're OK operating the way they are and don't hire employees back? What happens when the foreclosures and evictions start? Things are not going to go back to the way they were.

Stimulus, yeah right. But if I were getting one no mods for me. Would give it to extended family if they needed it, if not donate to charity.

Well this didn't take long to put my money where my mouth is.
My Wife found someone in need today, she has that knack. Long story short we gave her an old fridge (that still works), set of tables, chairs and bought her washer, dryer and stove. Cut the Salvation Army right out of the loop.

kind of the reason why we got a freezer. Trying to limit how often we need to go out for food.
People gonna get desperate soon with many having little to no income. Bills still gonna pile up and main needs are housing and food. Bills or food? What happens when this is prolonged and money runs out?
