I installed in a 2019 Platinum with a bed rug without any issue...works fine. The strips were attached to the bottom side of the tie down rails. On the middle rail however, behind the cab, i had to attach slightly off center of the rail cheating towards the open end of the bed. This was because the bed rug come all the way up to the bottom of the rail and attaching the strip to center of the rail bottom would have concealed the light strip. On my 2019 i already had a pre-drilled hole for the toggle switch. I only had to drill the small hole for the power wire. I cut a small opening in the rug to allow the toggle switch to be accessible. I was so pleased with the bed light that i ordered the hood light and just installed that too. The hood also has some pre drilled holes so i was able to fish the power wire through them to help conceal the wire. All done...works great. If you're thinking about doing both...bed and hood, there's a discount when buying both at the same time...just an fyi.

Are there photos of available to showcase other colors beyond the varying whites? Im interested to see how well red is lighting the bed up...for hunting season, etc...

I have a drop-in plastic bed liner; yes I know, they aren't as good as anything else...but I'm not removing it or trading it for another option...ha! One thing I noticed though is the plastic liner comes up the front of the bed and interfaces with the bed rail setup the Tundras optioned...there is essentially, no place to stick the center LED strip in the front but only on the sides of the deck rail system...is there is way @mattgecko, that I could trade a LED segment (middle) for just a longer stretch of wiring so both driver and passenger sides can have light without me needing to splice anything and forgoing the middle led strip up near the cab? Or, how would you navigate such an instance? Does this make sense?!

Yes I can make you just the side light strips only both with long wire harness attached.

Just drill a small hole at the end of each of the light strips at the rear of the truck and run the wire harnesses under the truck to the switch.

Matt, I have the under hood light kit for my 18 Tundra. I can't get the hood pin switch in place properly because there is what appears to be the headlight housing underneath the hole for the switch. Please advise.

Thanks! I figured that was the remedy but was afraid I'd break something. I got the bed lights installed a month ago and finally did the hood lights today. Excellent product!

Just installed the bed lights. Highly recommend these for anyone that is on the fence. I thought about making my own set up, but @mattgecko takes all of the guess work out of it, and has customer service to match. Would highly recommend.

@Walkem it’s no more than a 2 or 3 out of 10. The hardest part, in my opinion, is fitting the switch through the hole you drill in your bed liner. Otherwise, you are just connecting wires and tucking them away. If you have any questions ask @mattgecko —he is very responsive and provides printed directions.

Interested in both the hood and bed sets. Could I please see the install instructions? Also, could a three way switch or the remote, switch between two colors (white, green) for the bed?

You drill a hole for the switch just left of your driver's side bed rail. But, you can really drill the hole anywhere there is dead space.

Thanks brother, will be purchasing this down the road I'd imagine. New truck should be arriving today, have to do the necessities first. Such as floor liners, tint, and tonneau

They came with my Bakflip tonneau cover. They're are surprisingly stout, I was worried they were going to bend when using ratchet straps on they rails but they haven't.

I only sent the bed instructions out in advance, the hood lights installation requires no drilling.

    ATTENTION:

I am doing a custom LED strip for a CVT awning that requires a certain wiring configuration. I contacted @mattgecko and he emailed me and called to discuss exactly what it is I needed and to ensure everything I needed and wanted was taken care of. I already have his under hood and truck bed kit and he is matching the LED light to those so at night everything is the same. Additionally, it will have a quick disconnect option for when my awning is not in use.

Top notch customer service and super awesome dude.

I will post pics when done.

Do to liability I don't provide any install instruction that tie into factory wiring.

To answer your question, yes it can be done info can be found on the forum.
