I’ve had it sitting in my garage for over a year before and it was fine.

Picked up a few things. Got a new plastic shelving unit for the closet to store everything inside the house. Had to cut the shelves to fit an existing water pipe around them and reinforce them, but I'm finally all organized.

Also picked up this Husky flashlight for $20 from Home Depot. 3 modes (high, low, spotlight), 300 lumen, rechargeable, strong magnetic base. I needed a wand light for mobile corrections and this thing is pretty slick. Was able to pull out a lot of defects on an AIO job yesterday with this in broad daylight. Beats buying a $200 Scangrip for now.

Yeah, there’s no reason that I can see for buying a Scangrip. Led lights are cheap, and I can’t see how the Scangrip can be any better. Light is light.

The only benefit I see is the light temp selector but that's for color matching for body shops and not my usage. Their own website fails to mention prices...I think they're also like "wtf we are charging how much for our product?! Let's hide this shit."

Yeah, can’t imagine the different light temps make a huge difference to the average consumer. Even if it did, you can just get a lamp holder and buy multiple lamps for way cheaper. I sell lighting for a living, and in my opinion there’s zero reason to spend that much.

Rigid 4 gal/5 peak HP portable shop vac.

McCulloch 1375 steam cleaner w/ attachment pack.

Dewalt 7"/9" Rotary w/ soft start.

The Griot's G9 did great on the boat I did last week, but took quit a bit of extra work on my end to effectuate a good result. Figured I'd step up to a rotary for boat oxidization. Have some Megs wool cutting pads on the way for cut and Lake Country blue hybrid foam pads for finishing on the way as well.

Autopia is having a 20% off P&S products. I ordered jugs of beadmaker, wheel cleaner, and Bug Off. Had to pay $6 for shipping, but used code welcome15 and saved 8.52.

I’ve had one of those steamers for a couple of years. Have yet to really use it on a vehicle, but it cleans the hell out of a BBQ pit and showers.

That happened to me with carpro. So easy to use and very consistent results. Can't ask for much more.

Next time you buy pads, try the HDO line from LC. I like them a lot better than the CCS line.

They don't have the dimples, they seem to be a higher quality foam and firmer. Also beveled edges which is nice. They supposedly last longer.

Nice yeah I stopped being lazy and looked them up. They have a mount hole in them which I know is for a rotary backing plate like I used to use on the dewalt but that doesn’t cause an issue with a flat backing plate?

The HDO series is supposedly better than CCS for durability and overall quality. CCS is a fine pad and I bulk ordered when I started the business, but I have done 4 AIOs, 6 one stages, and 3 multistages in the past two months. The CCS pads are definitely getting fatigued. Would not recommend them on boat gel coat as they stain and deteriorate much faster. I have 8 oranges, 8 whites, 6 yellows, 5 blacks (that many is totally unnecessary), 3 blues (also unnecessary). CCS does great work and no complaints from the quality of work they create, except I just wish I would have seen some more life out of them for almost $400 in pads. Progressively over time they retain clear/product build up and no matter what you do you can never get them completely clean (Griots MF/foam cleaner, hot soaks, compressed air, nothing lol). The silver lining is if you're doing this for money, one job should sufficiently buy you an entire bulk order of pads so it is what it is.

Once I burn through these, I'm going to be bulk ordering HDOs as through various sources of info, they seem to be the top tier foam pads LC offers.

I did just pick up some LC Blue Hybrid Wool pads for my new rotary that I'm gonna go burn some gelcoat up with and see what they can do lol.

    I think I have a problem.
great info. I don’t do this for money I just got sucked into the forum and here I am. I do friends and family vehicles and charge to cover costs cause this shit ain’t cheep. For the ones that need a clean ride and don’t have the funds I have them help and learn how to take care of their sh-*t. I do my wife’s and moms car for nothing and I always did my grandparents cars for fun.

Ok got the brake buster and the sonax in today. Gonna be doing I side by side or wheel by wheel comparison.
Brake buster was $13.99 per qt and came with a free towel. Nothing to say good about the towel but I can always use a nice shop rag
    Sonax was $15.50 per qt

both items shipped free on Amazon.

I try and stay away from amazon for most products unless the supplier is one in know but for these things I didn’t care to much it’s for brake dust and relative cheap
