    Hey,
I'm brand new here having a Tundra. I have a 2010 tundra crewmax 5.7l 4x4 platinum. My question is what's the towing capacity?

    This.
We will run payload before towing capacity.

The manual will tell you your hypothetical max trailer, but they are never adjusted for all the different configurations you get from the factory. It’s good for ballpark, but if you want exact numbers:

Step 1: Load your truck with fuel and whatever else you will be carrying.
Step 2: Go scale your truck at a truck scale. Write that number down.
Step 3: Find your GCWR. Should be listed in manual.
Step 4: Do some math. GCWR - scaled weight = max trailer weight.

Plenty of great information in here.

My method is best, please follow exact directions. Add trailer, if truck moves, you’re good. Still not convinced, add bigger trailer, if the front wheels come up on acceleration, you’re good and looking like a boss. Finally, still not convinced? Add the biggest trailer you got, make sure the trailer axles are “U’d” with weight, now dump God’s Greatest Truck in drive and bury the throttle, disregard noise, did it move? Nope. Reinstall engine, transmission and differentials, be sure to use sturdy jack stands. You’ve officially located your Tundras tow capacity.

Honestly about 9500lbs +/- , but we all say 10k to swing our Wing Wangs around.

I joined to see what is possible
07 5.7 4x2 with tow package: 10,200 lbs on the original window car details. I believe 4x4 have lower tow capacity.

Its crazy my 08 CM limited 4x4 had a tow capacity of 10,100. My 18 CM Platinum 4x4 has a tow capacity of 8,800. Same motor trans and axles. Not sure why in the drop of weight.
