Wheel spacers or lift?

Idk what the part(bar) is called but I'll include and picture. Also I've noticed my wheels lean out at the top bc they are extremely close to my upper arms. (pic included) my question is this. Would it be better/ cheaper to do a wheel spacer kit and how would that affect my angles? I've heard ppl talk about angles of the suspension but I dont understand how it all effects the driving and steering. Or, would it be better to do a 2" lift (assuming 2" would be enough to run 35s with no rubbing) 20200404_141233.jpg 20200404_141219.jpg 20200404_141248.jpg

    Heres a good video explaining why applying wheel spacers might not actually solve your problem but lead to rubbing in different places. Of course its not a Tundra in the video but you'd have to check what else would the tires rub on and whether you're willing to trim stuff before further modification or after by means of spacers or lift.

    I don't think it would hurt to add the 2in lift, it'll give you different suspension angles but could possibly help the truck clear your front sway bar and frame thats been worn into a bit. If you go with spacers, be willing to make modifications to the bumpers and such for clearance.

    What’s the offset of your wheels?

    I think a hub centric spacer would solve a couple of the rubbing parts, the sway and the upper control arm.

    as far as the front inner plastic fenders that is an easy DIY solution, either the heat gun and basketball method or the loosen and push forward and redrill method. There are YouTube videos explaining both.

    now the last part is the body mount. I’m not sure you can fit 35s with outdoing the body mount chop unless the offset on your wheels can do it

    You should do both. I haven't lifted my Tundra yet or put bigger tires on it. But that's what I did on my Tacoma. 2.5in lift and 1.5in wheel spacers. The only rubbing I had was on the fender flare. Probably would be the same. Then do an alignment when you are done. Stock tires are almost always at the maximum size allowable without rubbing from the factory. Just food for thought.

    Personally I don't wanna mess with anything on my Tundra yet as I like it how it is. Stock is amazing compared to my Tacoma and it tows like a dream. But, I'm sure eventually I'll give in and lift it. It's inevitable.

    I'm not sure about the offsets. I'm not even sure I understand them. This is the first truck like this so I'm learning everything as I'm new to this world or big trucks and modified trucks.

    I’d always vote lift over spacers. Too many problems with cheap spacers and still I wouldn’t trust good spacers with my life. Or you can go back to a less aggressive sized tire

    I think to solve all the rubbing issues I need to do a lift. Just got to decide 2 or 4in. Look at prices and all. I'd love to do coil overs front and back but that might be expensive. Also gotta look into forum discounts and all. I wanna maximize my money for the lift. I'm sceptical of rough country though but they are cheap...
