I am NOT a runner LOL, but today was runs. Did 10 X 400m
The first time really being timed on a track was a few days ago, then today was my 2nd time.

I was trying to follow much more athletic folks than I (and they are younger by 5-20 years).
The first 5 x 400m’s I was 1:30-1:37. Then the coach pushed us the last 5.
My #9 lap was 1:27 and then # 10 lap was 1:25. I almost died on the last lap LOL.
I guess every Tuesday and Thursday I’ll be running

Quarter mile track by me with soccer goals with cross bars low enough for me to jump up and do pull-ups. I'm doing 3-4 days a week. One workout is 4-6 100 meter sprints. That's it. Warm up, get those done, call it a day.

Another workout is to do 1.5 miles, immediate pushups/pull ups/situps, another lap, more pushups pull-ups and situps. May really fry myself and work in one more lap followed by the immediate round of calisthenics next time out. My running is pathetic so it's not like my mile and a half is impressive or anything, but there's basically no rest between any of this. First time out I am able to get about 70 pushups and 40 or 50 setups. Goes way down with the next round.

Occasionally I'll toss in a light jog. I hate not being able to lift. I feel like I have to work way harder and more often at the cardio than at weights to maintain the same physique. May have to start building a home gym when this is over. My knees aren't used to this so I am avoiding going out every day. Just something to maintain conditioning and shock the system so I don't feel pathetic when I go back to the gym. Normally I lift a lot and do short burst cardio-type stuff occasionally to break up weight workouts.

Good job using what you have.

To anybody thinking about it building a home gym I highly recommend it. I anticipated our gym closing and their wasn’t another viable option around us due to my schedule so I started it. Had to sacrifice and sell our quads to get the majority of the funds but it was worth it. I would take this time to figure out what you like to do and start looking at equipment manufacturers. Black Friday is about the best pricing and only time some manufacturers put big items on sale. Yes Titan has sales like every other day but Rogue only has 1 sale a year. Any questions just ask. I have put tons of hours into searching. Some things you can go cheap on others I would not.

Also anybody local to the PDX area I may be selling some stuff to make room for other stuff once this is over.

For those without weights and only body weight and resistance bands, how much Have you modified your diet? I’m trying (keyword, trying) to keep it like an off gym day.

I was doing intermittent fasting and eating some what clean before we were sent to work from home. All of that is out the window now with easy access to my fridge and pantry :annoyed:

I will. I am fairly certain I will be selling my Rogue GHD, a cheap hex bar, Multi grip bar and some plates or bumpers. I am trying to see if just regular workouts are what I’m going to do from now on out. I will replace three GHD with the rogue donkey which is the GHD/reverse hyper combo.
May also sell a plyo box or 2 and all or some of my slam balls and wall balls as I probably won’t be doing CrossFit stuff any more.

250 push ups and a 5K run a day for this old body, been doing that for years. Do miss the gym at work for some weights. We have a 5 acre yard so I get plenty of "workouts" just taking care of stuff out there.

    Keep at it all!

I started drinking white claws, wine, soda/vodka/lime every night and cutout beer. Normally I only drank on Fri/Sat with a few during the week. Now it’s a few, every night LMAO. It’s like a Holiday break for a month.
I’m still eating like I normally do. Meats and veggies :D

I picked up my new tread mill for my workout area at home and of course it's damaged. The power switch was totally busted off. Now I have to wait a week for a new one and carry the damage treadmill out of my basement. Well I guess that will be part my workout today.

Depends really. What is your height and your build? Im 5’4 I can blow up to 190 but right now trimmed down to 128lbs and try to push up 135lbs lean.

And really maintaining weight your really have to eat plenty but smaller portions if your active. Fish, vegs and right carbs. I don't eat much when days I don't work out. So basically I'm timing my food intake with my activities.

Thats not bad, when I go down I try to do 10lbs a month. And yes maintenance is always the hard part with all the stress. Hey but if I messed up a day or two. I just push my self back and forget what happened or look at my 200lbs picture. Lol

It's what they call a dumb trainer. I don't remember the name but they're easy to find and cheap. The back wheel locks into a stand, the back wheel rolls against a small wheel that can be adjusted for resistance so you can get a good strength workout it. Here's a link to a version of the one I have: https://www.roadbikeoutlet.com/prod...jEdYbQT8WWU-eKklCuyStTF9-8vGGtcxoCrzcQAvD_BwE

There are smart ones out there that have awesome capabilities like automatically adjusting resistance based on the terrain projected through a simulator like Zwift.

Started prep for “Murph” today. Just kept a steady pace to build the engine. Need to go back to doing it every Saturday again. 44:47 no vest used for today’s prep.

Put up a pull up bar, heavy bag, and mounted a pulley to the beam so I can do tri and back exercises. I had on old Jack bat that I was able to drill a hole through and I am using a bucket of sand with the pulley. Lol. I have been using my bike trainer if the weather isn't Good and I can't get on the trials. 20200330_163741.jpg 20200330_163731.jpg 20200330_163713.jpg 20200330_163706.jpg

Aaand jackpot... just when I was wondering what more I can do to maintain strength and size over the next month I find a couple tractor tires hidden away behind the track where I run, probably for the highschool football players.

This morning did a lap, pushups pullups situps, a lap, pushups pullups situps, a lap, more pushups, then a few sets of tire flips. Was on limited time since I had to be back to watch kid before wife went to work but plan to add more on days when I have more time.

Starting to see a world of possibilities open up to amp up my conditioning and keep me ready to get back into the gym. Ton of my co workers using this as an excuse to give up workouts and sit and eat all day. I’m probably the only one who won’t come out of this with weight to lose.

Bumped up my mile PR Monday to 6:40, then today to 6:39 LOL! I’m guessing that’s where I’ll be for quite a while. :D
I couldn’t stop hacking up a lung for like 30 minutes today. Monday I actually had to go home and gargle saltwater LOL. I ran another mile after that but it was slower.

I have no clue why we’re doing “Clovis” tomorrow, but it looks like hell for me. I’ve never ran more than 5 or 6 miles in one day. :(

Completed Clovis in 1hr 50min. Did every single burpee-pull-up and every mile lol.
Almost fell on my face after tripping over a sidewalk crack on mile 7.
I didn’t rip open my hand on the pull up bar until the very last pull up - perfect timing LOL.
