While I was cleaning my 2017 Tundra CM, I noticed that the rear mat was partially blocking both rear floor vents! I assume it is the way the sit and there is a slight bow or warp as they sit naturally! I tried to flatten it out but they went back to position and still partially block the vents. I would not have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for my wifes iPhone lol

So I will either trim the areas or use double sided velcro to hold it down!

I have have a lot of help in this great forum so I am just passing it or if needed, just check and make sure!

Dang that sucks... the one down side I hate about weather tech in my Tacoma is the stiffness and hard, almost plastic feel to them.

One reason I might go to husky for new liners in the tundra.

Although I love the Toyota all-weather mats that I was able to negotiate in the price :anonymous:

Post some pics of the fitment
    :worthless:

    Exactly

I had that with my Tacoma.

This time I went with Husky up front and weather tech rear because WT rear covered all the way under seat!

I will post some right now, Ill even go out in the 47 degree freezing Texas weather and take one for you, NS for realzzzz!

Yeah that's the reason I'm looking into possibly new liners for the rear, the entire floor coverage for when the seat is up.

And the front liners will have more coverage I think.

    Subbed for pics:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Can you push them under the vents?

Or maybe a heat gun to be able to bend them straight. Aside from the obvious solution of cutting them but that's a last resort.

I just took mine out to power wash them the other day, didn't take notice. Just took a peak now, yup, all that air defintely goes right under the mat.
    Good looking out @geno0506 !

To be OCD about it, I may try to extended the factory ducts out over the mat, even if just the bottom of the ducts, the air should flow where it is supposed to. Maybe black plastic cut and semi molded if possible, with double sided 3M tape on the underside of the duct.

Now seeing a picture, thanks @MotoTundra, might want to prop something under the vent to lift it up. I remember the vents being pretty flexible.

They definitely are. Propping them may be the easiest route.

    You're alright buddy.....

I tried to push them under the vents but the molded area that hit the seat brackets are flush so they will not go any further up! Here are the pics!

So how it sits untouched it actually blocks 98% at least of the a/c and heat getting through and sends it under the mat, yes your kids are right!'''good luck all and hope this helps, I did brave the elements taking this pics at 1200am almost got frostbite in the horrid 47 degree Texas cold front!

I did think of that as well, I'll look in the AM an do one of the 3 but the prop sounds easiest for the vents do give a little!

but if I prop them later on the heat may bow them more so maybe for a long term fix I might use the 2 sided heavy duty velcro strips I got a Wally World and keep them staying down!

I'll post the fix asap, thanks all!

Not an issue for the Husky Weather Beaters (Double Cab). Thanks for the heads up though.

I didn't want to defeat the purpose of the lip on the mat, so I slid a small block of cedar board under the vents to raise them higher than the lip.

I have the Huskys in front and the Weathertech in the back, only because I'm too cheap to upgrade the back ;-)
Here's my driver's side- kinda ghetto but it works:
