    My girlfriend saw a packing slip on the last ammo order I got

    We're getting another dog now because of it

    We discuss most purchases and ultimately she doesn't care because she understands that I own a gun store and things happen and guns follow me home...plus she has quite a few guns herself and she knows my ammo stash is always available for her to use

    We arent married but we have discussed and planned and will continue to maintain our own accounts when we do get married...as long as the bills are paid, I dont give a shit what she buys and vice versa

    She makes more than I do and pays most of the bills because of a nice little job perk of BAH

    Sounds a lot like our situation too. I get eye rolls as well, but that's the worst of it. We also have separate checking accounts and a shared shavings account. It's good to retain your individuality even after marriage.

    You know what drives me crazy? People with shared Facebook accounts. "JohnandLindaSmith" Seriously?

    You can't trust your spouse enough to have a separate FB account?
    Although I guess I can get it somewhat, why have 2 accounts if everything applies to both, I guess.
    But it still looks like a trust issue to me.

    My wife isn't on FB, with her profession she doesn't need anyone checking up on her..
    And with her short temper, or at least low tolerance for ignorance (at times), she probably doesn't need to be on FB...:eek2:

    I'm on vacation this coming week, took off today to start it early.
    Kidding each other about being together at the house for 10 days since she has to work at home.
    I just kissed her goodnight, she goes to bed before I do, and told her we made it through day 1.
    She just laughed and kissed me...

    I'm right there with you..
    I have 2 savings and 2 checking accounts.
    One bills checking account (all the monthly bills), one spending checking account (gas, groceries, whatever), credit union savings (that I don't touch), regular bank savings (I try not to touch), 5% into the 401K (that took a hit).
    I pay all the bills, but she does give me a set amount every month.
    She has her own savings accounts as well, she also pays the auto insurance.
    She buys a lot of stuff for the house (like decor since she keeps changing it), but if we buy a big item for the house (say over $1000) we split it.

    I certainly don't buy, or sell, as many guns as I used to, pretty happy with the current inventory.
    Same with the ammo.

    Most hobby money I spend is if I buy something for my Tundra.
    Paid it off in December and I'm trying to get the audio system to my liking.
    Then maybe replace the leather, maybe just the front seats since the back seats never get used..:thumbsup:

    PS - for all the “hoarder” naysayers, assuming you have zero ammo stock since “hoarding” is weird, if you want to plink anytime soon, good luck finding any 9mm or 5.56.
    Only took a few weeks to completely diminish nearly every online affordable source.

    so i tried this, the old military surplus we could rummage used to be called drmo. I use to have access from my previous career. It has since been taken over by DLA. I created an account as a civilian to buy and bid an extra stuff turned back in. I'm gonna try to bid or buy on some training/civilian legal ammo should any get turned back in. So far i just started searching for ammo. ill post if it bears fruit.

    We reported last week that sales of guns and ammo were soaring in the light of a potential quarantine. At that time, ammo.com was reporting that their sales had risen more than 50% in only 11 days.

    But their latest reports indicate that Americans concerns have increased as restrictions have altered their daily lives dramatically. In the days between February 11th and February 23rd, sales were up 54%. But sales from just the last seven days are far outpacing those numbers. Ammo.com reports that this last week, their sales were 275% of what they were last year at this time.

    In fact, if you look at the entire range since the Corona Virus hit America’s collective consciousness on February 23rd, here are the statistics ammo.com provided:

    • 309% increase in revenue
    • 78% increase in conversion rate
    • 222% increase in transactions
    • 77% increase in site traffic
    • 27% increase in average order
    Breaking down the numbers even further proved interesting. States like Louisiana, where there are higher documented cases of Covid-19, are seeing a more than 1000% increase over last year at this time. in fact, the data indicated that the states with the highest number of infected patients showed a correspondingly higher number of ammo purchases. In Delaware, numbers were up an astonishing 4,529%. Why? The state has some cases of their own, but also have ‘hot spots’ in New Jersey and Philadelphia on both sides.

    I get it if you shoot a lot. I reload etc. I just don't get those that go in and out of the blue buy 10 cases of ammo, puts it on the shelf and there it sits forever.
