    About Me:

So this is my first truck and first ever non-VW product. I pretty much gave up my 2008 RS4 to make room for the Tundra. I still have a 2014 Audi Q5 and a 1 of 1 2006 Audi S4 wagon 6spd that I can't seem to part with. All of my Audis have been phenomenal cars and I'm still heavy into that side of the vehicle world. *Anyone else here have any VWs??* I really appreciate the small details and clean mods that make those cars what they are. The community is one that has led me to meet many people I'm proud to call friends and whom I look forward to seeing every year.

All that being said, the 3rd Gen Tundras spoke to me. Now I'm, lurking forums and making my wallet hurt. I'm amazed by the amount of creativity and utilization I see on many of these builds. That and the overwhelming amount of help and support everyone seems to provide gives me something new to get excited about.

So here I am. A complete newb to trucks. It's strange coming into something with a completely unbiased view of brands and components, but I'm ready to make this thing my own.

    Day 1 (July 2019):
    2016 SW CM Limited w/40k

I had a 2015 Golf TDI. I reallllly miss the MPGs. VW buying it back opened up my options.
However, I still find myself looking at used Audi wagons...

Since my wheels have been on backorder since November, I've been putting off installing the suspension. In the meantime, I started installing my audio gear by building a custom sealed box for behind the rear seat. The fit ended up being super tight but it's in. So far it works, but I may build another box with slightly different dimensions for a better fit. Pics to come on this.

Another thing I'm more excited about than I should be are the cross bars I whipped up for the bed. I wanted an ultra low cross bar that can be used with my tonneau cover still in place. I used the Max Modular Tonneau Cover Bed Rack Brackets and then added an aluminum cross bar. I chose this method because the brackets can also be used with the regular bed rack if I wanted. My Thule snowboard carriers mount directly to the cross bars and keep everything in reach.

Yesterday I got around to installing my Toytec Boss 2.5 Aluma Series Lift and JBA UCA's. Everything went fairly smooth. The truck needs to settle a bit in the front yet. My initial impression from the ride home was a much smoother ride. It doesn't look like too much of a diffrenece and since I was anxious to get rolling, I forgot to take initial height measurements.

Yo, no way! Thought your username looked familiar. DownhillA4 from Audizine. Just picked up my 2021 Tundra in October and have already blown more money modifying this thing than I think my B6 and B7 A4 combined, haha. So awesome. Next time i'm out in Lancaster we should link up for truck photos!

wow! I’m on Audizine and VWVortex too. Back in the day I had a 2004 R32 (loved that car) and a 2013 B8.5... both are long past in the rear view mirror now. The R32 doesn’t even exist anymore - the guy who bought it totalled it in the Northern VA area. So sad.

Just picked up a 2017 MGM Platinum to mess around with. Can’t wait to get started on it.

Yep. My other two hobbies. :) The Benz is by far the better of the two. Mostly because it has two turbos & twice the HP. I still love both of them.

keep in touch, IG: @downhill_a4 and we will link up. Should have all the accessories installed by Spring on the truck, just sitting in garage. Need to start my build thread on here.

Well today I purchased a 2021 SR5 Army Green Trail Edition. Figured I would start brand new before making any of the permanent changes. The dealer is letting me keep both trucks while I move parts around between the two in order to get the white one back to factory. So much for having some time off work this week

That's where i bought my Tundra from. Awesome group of guys. My salesman had a pretty sweet Tundra himself. Congrats on the Army Green. I was a big fan of your white truck. The bronze Fifteen52's are going to look killer with army green.

I'm in MD if any of you more local guys ever want to meet up or do a run at Rausch Creek or something.

It may have even been the same guy who helped me. He has a supercharged Tundra with some other goodies. And thank you! I'm hoping it all looks good once I get everything swapped. I loved the white and liked this enough to try it out. I'd definitely be up for a Rausch or trail day sometime.

Spent the day pulling off pretty much all of the parts I put on the truck. Pulling the suspension on Saturday and swapping to the new one. Worst part of today was getting all the audio equipment and wires removed while knowing I'm going to put it right back in another.

It's been a few since the last update. Got all the parts from the white Tundra swapped over in the first week of owning the green one. With winter, I hadn't been super motivated to work outside, however, with the recent stretch of warm weather and the arrival of Spring, that has changed. I was able to piece together all the parts for me bed that normally don't work together. The OEM bed boxes, Leitner ACS, OEM bed rails, and the Rago Bed stiffeners. I had to get creative, do some trimming, and add some hardware but it all worked out.

Finally got those chrome bumper corners covered and took a few pictures.

Looks great! How do you like your wheels? Any fitment issues?

Thanks! I love these wheels. Just a little rubbing on the front plastic while in reverse. They are pretty tight to the caliper so when I first drove on them, I stripped the wheel weights off lol. Still haven't done a BMC but so far no rubbing there while on flat surfaces.

Thank you. Zero complaints about it and really glad I chose the rocky black color.

I got an army green trail edition too. This thing is beastly looking. I have been looking into get these same wheels. What lift height are you set too to clear them
