Did a little poking around, and Fuel makes a similar style with their Vector, and Method 305s are similar. I've seen the Ray 10s on plenty of trucks, and even saw some on Cavalry Blues, but haven't seen a Gunmetal Ray on a Cavalry truck.

It's not a Tundra, but it's the right color combo.

That looks legit. I’d do it, like I originally said... think it needs to be dechromed. The gunmetal and chrome would clash. Cavalry blue and gunmetal look bad-a$$ together :headbang:

Nice! These kinds of pics are awesome. If you showed that to anybody that didn't know what you had, I would almost wager money that they would think it was Blazing Blue instead of Cavalry. The color just shifts so much in the different light. I love it.

yeah it looks so different during sunny and overcast days. Even under flourescent lights the color never looks the same.

If you do decide to test that paint, please post some results. I hope it turns out better than my 3M vinyl match did.

    Hey Guys,
How are you all finding the color is holding up to rock chips on your trucks? Around my rear wheel wells and even some of the doors are getting peppered down to the metal, very disappointing considering it’s only 12months old with less than 7000kms and very rare gravel road drives

From what I have read, Toyota paint is pretty weak no matter the color. I have a few chips and dings as well, but it's all in lower spots where I will likely be applying bed liner anyway. I've got the discoloration from the chip guard on the rocker panels and doors, so it's be something I've planned for a while. I just want to get my wheels and tires first to see if I will be doing flares or not, because if I am I want liner up under the flares to prevent paint wear.

The paint is soft and Cavalry Blue shows any imperfections. I love the color, hate the paint quality.

Awesome having a group of people with a love for the same color! Still blows my mind how much it changes in different lights

Awesome pic. And yes, it’s like we got a two or three color for one type of deal. I love the old school enamel look.

I always make the job harder than it is. Somehow lost 1 of the bolts holding in the grill lol
And I could not put my front facing camera in the same spot, even though it’s the same honeycomb grill...

no clue. I briefly looked at the old grill and it didn’t see any difference but my washer that I used to hold the camera in, was now “small” for the same opening.

i had to meet someone soon so I didn’t get to spend more time on it so I moved the camera higher, next to raptor lights. Only thing is camera isn’t centered because of those lights and my OCD is kicking in lol

How is the camera/screen view from the top compared to the bottom?

Hope you can figure a plan B out later.

Still looks great though, nice work!
