I ran mine off the battery with a fuse. Than added a on/off switch in the dash. This powers the far right cigarette outlet.

I attached a fuse tap to the 1st always hot port in the under dash fuse box to the port labeled 15A P/outlet 2. I added the 15A fuse to the tap and spliced in a male tap to the cold/out side of the p/outlet port. The 12V accessory plugs inside my console and console rear and now always hot. I’m not sure where the fuse is the p/outlet 1. I didn’t look.
This was on a 2019 Tundra.

Wonder if newer models are like yours. I should test mine.

I made my dash one always on 30A and installed a Quick charge USB, and a USB-C Fast charge for Apple equipment I use for work. I pulled a 10 gauge to the engine fuse box, theres lots of extra places to plug things in there.

the cool thing about it is that its 36 watt so it can charge a macbook or ipad pretty fast. I did have to Dremel the hole about 1/16 bigger . Also the factory wiring in the tundra is like 22gauge wont support 36 watt so you need a new ground and thicker wire i have 12g and 10g

Cut a hole into the back of my glove compartment. Felt like my passenger side didnt have it's own USB power but wanted it hidden. It also runs constant power to my CB.
