Yes, I will be installing myself. The top and front of yours looks nice...don’t know if I would be pleased with the bottom?
I am a perfectionist...with a big shop, so I have a hard time letting others work on my stuff! I just take my time, measure twice, cut once!

Yea, I was pissed. Luckily I caught this and tightened them before we left for a 1,000 mile round trip to the mountains.

Well, just got an email saying I’m in Stage 7, preliminary qc, so I’m assuming they will not be shipped tomorrow like I was told! This place

    Sweet! (the Stage 7 part)
I'm back to Stage 1. I called them to get an update & ask some questions, and even though I was trying to be respectful and courteous, I guess I ticked them off. They actually told me they're giving my bumper to another customer and starting me over at Stage 1.

Kidding. Partially. I really am back to Stage 1. But it's b/c I asked them if I could get the access holes in the bumper instead of no access holes. It was too late in the fab process to cut them, so they had to start me over. Oh well - at least I'll have what I ultimately want, and the bumper they were already working on won't go to waste at all - they'll be able to use it for another customer.

I was waffling on the fact that I ordered w/o the access holes for the same reason you said in another post - I wouldn't want to not be able to access the winch if I'm in a pinch. Plus, I'm done with the prospect of buying a Warn Zeon - I can't justify that crazy price anymore. Plus, it not having the option to physically connect the wireless remote to the winch in the event of battery issues or something...that's just another large point of potential failure. Smittybilt for me. Great winch, great price. I'll let you know how it all worked out in September when I finally get everything together lol

    Post some delivery/before/during/after pics!

I think it'll be worth the wait for Weavin Pro & myself, too. It looks like a solid bumper. I'm in no hurry anyway.

@Weavin Pro You didn't get your bumper yet, did you? I had an email exchange with an SSO sales manager who said they went on lockdown in mid-March - right around the time of your last post saying you're in Stage 7. He said they expect to be back in the shop on Apr 30th. Hopefully so - peoples need to work.

No, I have not received my bumper yet. Been in an email exchange with Lee, the GM, nice dude, but no real answers... I’ve kinda just taken the attitude of “it gets here when it gets here”.

So you ordered in Nov and just received it. I emailed them the other day to ask about turn times. They told me to expect 12 weeks. Not thrilled about that wait time, but no other bumper I’ve seen catches my eye like this one.

So, I know it's an older thread. Hoping to get a final verdict on the bumper and suggestions on winch.

I have yet to use it under load...that's a pretty big caveat, but so far so good. I haven't heard anything bad about them either. I like it.

I went with a Smittybilt. I couldn't justify the overpriced Warn. Went with a SmittyBilt XRC Gen3 12k.

I have used mine a few times to pull some pretty heavy trees out of the way with absolutely no issues. It is a very high quality bumper. I totally agree with Uhhhh...Warn is just ridiculous in price...I too went with the Smitybilt X20 10,000lb synthetic.

I will say...make sure you want the stock look. It is an awesome bumper “insert”, but one year later, I am selling mine to go with a full steel bumper.

I’m in CO. Full disclosure I don’t have the hardware so you’d have to contact them to see what it would cost. I will let your first contact address so I’m not picking on the deal. But I would do $350 local pickup (again no hardware)

Woah mines too steep I guess. Hahah I would do $200 if you come down and pick it up this weekend. Actually this weekend $100 and it’s yours so I don’t have to move it again!!!
