The CTEK charger is actually not a "trickle" charger, but it does charge at low amps (7 amps), which is desirable for AGM batteries. It can be used either as a slow conventional charger, or a maintenance charger during long term storage. If you leave the charger on the battery overnight, it will likely restore a healthy battery to full charge overnight. If you leave the charger on for several nights, it will charge the battery to full charge, then after ten days, if you haven't disconnected the battery, the charger goes into a maintenance mode that maintains full charge by "pulse" charging.

Awesome. I went ahead and made the purchase. Also leaving work now (6:16pm) and after sitting all day since 6:30am it was at 12.48 before starting and 14.04 after I started it

is your car parked outside most of the day? I ask because my dad had one of those Harbor Freight Solar Trickle charger for like 8+ years and he never had to replace his battery once. Another odd observation he said he noticed was that no crust ever formed on his terminals once he put the trickled charger on there. Maybe something else to try out if you dont want to keep on plugging and unplugging a trickle charger. I remember reading on here someone saying a weak battery is the start to a bad starter, maybe find a battery with the highest CCA rating you can find?

On a Honda I used to own, the momentary screech I had turned out to be from an idle pully barring that paired with a tensioner. A shop told me they replaced my tensioner but didn't replace the idle pully that its attached to (WTF moment) because its sold as one assembly. Also, I had a bad starter also on a honda (220k miles) and it started to drain the battery slowly. Once I replaced the starter no more drain. Lastly, I think a starter grind noise (screech) is very different than a pully noise (squeak), maybe a video of you starting up from cabin or under the engine could help out.

My truck is parked outside yes. I traded in my 07. I have came to the conclusion that it was perhaps the alternator not charging 100% correctly leading to the battery going bad and then the starter going bad and an incompetent shop not being able to resolve the issue. On the '14 that I got when I traded in its issue was just an original battery and needed a new one. The original had 550 cca the new one has 755 I think. I did charge it once with the smart charger I bought that was recommended to me since who knows how long it had been sitting on the shelf. I haven't had any problems since

I deleted the video of it starting and screeching (when the battery was just low)or clicking and then a screech (when the battery was almost dead) or else I would upload it because I'd love to show everyone the sound it made. Just saying I knew it wasn't the squeal you get from a bad belt or pully
