I am thinking of how to resolve 2 problems:

    1. Carplay audio is not audible (DSR1 and Kappa 5 amp).

    2. Front door mids barely put out any sound while tweeters crank.

I am curious if a separate 2 channel amp for the mids would benefit at all? I have the front mids and the front tweeters all sharing the same output on the Kappa, could this be the issue for both problems?

What I am not sure about is the actually system behind the door panels, are the mids and the tweets actual components? I now the left and right dash speakers are receiving the same signal as the door tweeters, which lead me to question the component part.

    Any thoughts?

Ok, no action on this post so I’ll update and hopefully something triggers for someone.

I decided to upgrade to component speakers from @tech12volts. This should clean up the signal from the door speakers and tweeters. But now what I want to know is if the dash speakers would benefit from a separate 4 channel amp and if yes, do I use the spare RCA from the DSR to send the signal to that amp?

The kappa 5 powering the door mid woofers is more than enough. With a HPF and x-over set to 80Hz those speakers put out a lot of volume.
