I just bought a limited voodoo blue tundra with the trd offroad package.
My question is about the shocks. Are the bilsteins that came on my truck better than the toyotec 3" boss package shocks? And if so, could I get the toyotec boss 3" lift kit and just put the bilstien with it?
Also I want it to set level which rear option should I chose

And i guess I should also ask is the toyotec 3"lift a good lift. It's for a more aggressive look and to be able to run a 33" tire easily...no offroading at all

First off, congrats on the truck! Love that color!

    To answer your questions:
The Bilsteins on the TRD package are 4600 series, ok but not near what you would get going aftermarket.
You will need new shocks with a 3" lift
Level is +2" front, so you would be looking for a 3/1 lift
You can run a 33" tire on stock height, no lift needed

    keep in mind
you *may* need a slight rake for your front sensor to operate correctly, if that matters to you
at 3" or above, aftermarket UCA are very likely required to dial in alignment

Our Toytec boss suspension is definitely going to feel better than your stock suspension now. We've got to valve, tune, and test it on about 3 tundras here at Toyteclifts. The picture you provided is going to also be an older kit, its a little updated now on our site. Let me know if you have questions or give me a call at Toyteclifts. 303-255-4959 ext 113. Tundras.com has a discount as well :)

Hi InsaneAuto86 where can we buy this slight rake from to have the front sensor work properly?

Also anyone can answer this question for me. What kind of suspension can you guys recommend for moderate off roading and also to have it as your daily?

    Thank you

You'll need control arms if you want to have any decent Caster after alignment and thats not cheap. Personally I'd just buy a BDS 4.5" kit and be done with it!

So I ordered the toytec boss kit 3/1 kit and I'm planning on running the fuel rebel 5 18x9 +20mm offset
Ive googled and I have searched this site and I find conflicting posts but I'd really like to know what's the biggest tire I can run with out BMC? I know ,I know I'm breaking the cardinal law of this site but I tried searching and I havent got the navigation of this furom down quite yet. I'd really like to run a 35x12.50x18 but I know that's out without the bmc, right? If so, I'm leaning towards a 295/70/18.

295s are perfect size no cab mount chop needed. 35s most likely.
    Here’s mine on cooper AT3 xlt 295s

Also, what off set are your rims?

Thank you...I’m running a 3/2 fox 2.5 coilovers with remote resi’s ....0 offset method grids. I aligned fine caster is a little low but UCA’s weren’t needed to get me close. They are in the future tho. Not only will you get some higher caster but that added travel for the shocks.

Awesome I read your build thread...
How did you like the autodip? Did it hold up well?

It held up for about a year. Harsh winters and sanded roads took its toll on it. I vinyl wrapped the bumpers about 2 years ago now no issues at all. Auto dip I think is a good temporary thing or if you don’t have and winters. Or if you apply on something like emblems that don’t get a lot of road debris contact

No I only had them for a short while then bought aftermarket wheels. Motometal 970s +18 offset. About a year or so later I went with these methods at 0 offset....:0 offset is perfect on these trucks for stance if your around 3” of lift
