That would be great. I see a few options. But wanted to see how others did it. Thanks guys!

Here it goes how I did mine. As you can see on the pictures it also shows where I installed my ground and what wire I used to get power. Hope this helps. 20200307_174852.jpg 20200307_174911.jpg 20200307_174937.jpg

interesting you chose to place a fuse. You think 5 or 10 should be enough ? I most likely will run it same location.

I used the same fuse the led kit brought. At least 10 I would use.

Got it. Thank you again! Very helpful. I think for the other side of the truck I will run inside the cabin and out the other side of the drain. I figured it would be harder running wires under the truck with exhaust and drive shaft in the way.

You'll find that grommet on both sides of the front floorboard.
Just run your wire under the carpet, thru the console and back under the carpet.
You can get the console top off with trim tools, no screws to remove..

I actually installed lights. But did not add the fuse in line. Actually forgot until after I was done with install. I will add it later.
Thank you for all the help guys. Worked out great!

    Pictures coming soon

Thanks guys for all the tips and pictures as i finally finished my step lights. Had some old led lights i had once intended to hook up in the rear and are now my step lights.
A couple things that might help someone else out. I have a 16 and there were no pink wires so i started looking for a grayish one. I only had one and it was not it. It was more brownish/black and the wire was thin. Also I didn't realize i had to take out my seats to pull the carpet back so I could access the floor plugs to run my wire through. Not a huge deal but more time consuming than i originally thought.
All in all they turned out great but I'm not real impressed with my choice of lights. At least all my wiring is there if i want to change them out later.

I did not pull my seats. I just pulled carpet back a bit and ran the wires to the plugs. I did not even cut the plugs. Wires I used were so small that plugs fit snug tight around it with no problem. I guess depends on the plugs you chose to run from.

Man that carpet is stiff. Plus I ran the wire from the opposite side under the carpet and it just made it easier, i guess, to move the carpet back. I wasn't sure where the plugs were, but they right next to where you need them. The plugs come out real easy and i just punched a small hole through it with an ice pick and shoved the wire through. Seals back up tight. Anyways sounds like there’s more than one way to skin a cat. Lol.

All good. You did it right for sure. I was lazy and snaked the wires under the carpet.

Hi I’m thinking of getting these VLED strip bars for my side step area too but I was wondering if you used any of the adapters the strip bars come with? Did you just wire it to the cargo light wire? I’ll be looking into how to properly do this for my 07 Tundra but I would like to know if I need adapters or electrical wires

Curious... I am planning to do something like this based off the VLEDs setup and then strips on the outside. Should I put some inline fuses into the external strips so if they get wet and blow a fuse it would be before all my interior lighting?
