IMO ridge grapps are larger, more horizontal.

it’s probably just the angle or something but the tread pattern doesn’t look all that deep.

I’m going from 285/65R18 to 275/70R18. The 285s are not much bigger than stock diameter (0.5”or so) and don’t fill the wheel as nicely as the 275. Couple that with the 285s being a lot more expensive for essentially just a wider tire over stock I am good with the 275s.

The specs say 16/32. The same as the BFG. It’s probably a normal tread depth for AT.

Yea, I’m thinking the same. I’m running 275 now so I’ll probably stick with that. I wish they made a 285/70. It’s a pretty rare size and the only tire made in that size I would have interest in is the Ridge Grappler.

Lot of ATs and Hybrids now showing initial tread depths 18+ fwiw

Adding my old shopping list, no AT3 toyo on it yet. The column with the key is tread depths

I’d love some real world data on how they handle in the (Alaskan) snow.

This ^ I am in upstate NY where we are expected to get another 8" of snow tomorrow, so winters here last a LONG time. I have had both the Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and currently the BFG AT/KO2's. Respectfully, the Ridge Grapplers weren't great in wet weather and I knew that going in with the limited amount of siping and bigger tread blocks. There were great during mild off-roading and on dry pavement of course. Overall a good tire but def not meant for adverse weather conditions. The BFG has been a decent tire as well, however it's been hard to balance and after 27k miles, I am really disappointed with the tread life (really shocked about this). Winter/wet weather traction has been better than the Ridge Grapplers, but still leaves something to be desired IMHO. Therefore, I just ordered a set of the Toyo OC AT3's. I think they look MUCH better than their predecessor, and ironically the tread depth is 16.6/32 compared to 16.4/32 (Ridge Grappler), and 15/32 (AT/KO2) in the same size. SO, they are a little deeper, have more siping, are mountain snow rated, and have a 50k mile warranty. Aesthetically, I think they look just as good as the RG and BFG. I am sold so far, but let's see how they handle in the real world.

295/60/20 Fingers crossed the AT3's perform as good as Toyo says they do.

Same. I wanted the 35s , but the extra weight and cost really didn’t justify the need for a 1/2” taller tire.

True. There just wasn’t enough to sway me to the 35.

Personally don't like the width, don't need the width.

The only 35x11.5x17 is a Nitto in load range C.
Closest to that is a 285/75/17.
