    Hi all-
Just picked up my 2020 SR5 Tundra last Wed. Was taken aback to discover CD players have gone with the wind (My 2014 4Runner still has one).

I'm used to simply putting MP3 format music on a thumb drive and plugging it in to play (Works on my 2018 Goldwing that way)

But today I found that my Audio Select button for USB remains dark even though the thumb drive is properly seated in the data transfer USB slot and has a flashing light.

Failing that I plugged in an old Sandisk MP3 player. The system recognized the Player but gave me the cue that there were no music files on it (has about 50 MP3 tunes on it).

Do I need some special formatting for the thumb drive (Sandisk Cruzer)?
What's the secret to getting my tunes through the speakers?

    Help

    Thanks

I would think fat32 would work just fine.

Just save those mp3 files on your phone and play them via Bluetooth.

And you would be correct. Thanks!

I reformatted the drive to FAT32 and it played as advertised. I'd forgotten that I had to reformat it (NTFS) a couple of years ago to download the Goldwing's nav update.

Thanks! I'm as ancient as my $5 LG Tracfone and I only found out last year that Bluetooth wasn't something you get from eating a berry pie:rolleyes:
