    Um. I'm guessing someone got a return authorized then threw that into the box to weight it so it would be accepted. It's happened to most of us; obviously, returned items just go into the bin to be sent out again, with no one at Amazon opening the box to see that it's good to go. The only ones that get looked at are the ones marked by returning customer as "damaged" or "wrong item".

    Looks like it gives you a lean to either the front left or front right depending on how you mount it. :)

    2. Say “hey, sorry we screwed up”

    I don’t think anyone was upset about not getting the shocks at that price...but rather at the way it was handled by the seller who told everyone their shocks had been sent, and sent them some garbage instead of just canceling the order.
    Personally, I felt it should have been handled differently but was entertained by the whole thing.

    I was going to let bygones be bygones, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that the general manager of 4Wheel Online decided to falsely accuse Amazon for their mistake. He tried to use an ‘alias’ to defend his company and got caught. Come on people, it’s the age of the internet, don’t use your real name as an ‘alias’. I get it, someone made a mistake, own up to it and take whatever consequences that may come. Why sully your reputation when you could have just sent out messages saying it was a pricing error and orders are being cancelled? No one would have been charged and they wouldn’t have tied up people’s money for other shocks/mods they could have purchased in the meantime.

    I certainly didn’t feel like I deserved to have 4 Bilstein shocks for $117, but Amazon is a marketplace and I am a consumer. If I am looking to buy any product and great deal pops up, I’m going to go for it. It was such a great deal, I tried to buy 3 sets. If I wasn’t a part of this community, I would have no idea what was going on. I still haven’t received any sort of communication from 4Wheel Online. Sure, the customer is not always right, but you have to admit how they handled the situation was not entirely above board. Luckily, Amazon took care of me and I would have been totally fine if they didn’t. I even explained to them that I knew none of this was their fault and they took care of me regardless. That’s customer service right there and I’ll be an Amazon Prime member for life. Thanks for watching.

    One more thing, if John Keene came on here and explained the situation like:

    “What up homies!! One of our Amazon Sales Intern made a pricing error on the Bilstein shocks. So sorry for the confusion. By the way, Amazon has a strict cancellation rate policy and we would like to continue to sell on Amazon so we are sending out free bumper stickers (or whatever) for everyone. I know its not what you ordered, but rest assured your purchase will be fully refunded and keep the stickers (or whatever) on us! Mistakes were made and we are sincerely sorry. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact Jenny at 867-5309.”

    I would have been totally fine with that.

    Instead we got:
    JK: “Why you guys trying to ruin this company? Just think if it was your company!”
    Me: “By ‘this company’, you mean the company that you manage?”
    JK: “Amazon sets the prices (lie)... We just fulfill orders (lie).”
    Me: “Why are we getting random junk?”
    JK: “I don’t know why you are getting random shit (lie)...”
    Me: “(In my head)...You’re the general manager and you don’t know why your company is sending random shit? Great management.”

    The entertainment has really been seeing what everyone got. That I think has made this thread and the off shoot threads, offering battery straps for sale, or referencing the $117 Bilsteins, so entertaining. I will have to say seeing the random parts that were received was comical. If it had all been the same thing I don't think it would have been as entertaining.

    Decided to continue to pursue this. Contacted Amazon and had them open an A to Z claim with the seller since I have not heard back from them after multiple emails. We'll see how this plays out. My hopes are not high.

    I got this email after I left a poor review. I have no reason to pursue anything. It was just a bummer how they went about making a mistake. My guess is that they want the bad review removed.

    Here's the response I got to my negative feedback. I read this as "Sorry, we gave you your money back, you should be happy enough to remove your negative feedback". Nice try, but my feedback is staying as-is. They way this was handled warrants the negative feedback.
