2001 tundra sensor 1 bank 1 code p0135

I have a 2001 4.7l and I had a CEL code for the bank 1 sensor 1 since I bought the truck In December. I just replaced the o2 sensor and 3 days later the code finally went off. 2 days of driving now and it just came back on. What is the cause of this could it just show up and it will go away again or is their something else wrong?

 

Did you use a high quality sensor? Denso or similar. Did you replace the right one? Driver side on the manifold?

 

Yes I used a denso and it was the drivers side

 

Where did you get it? Are you positive it's not counterfeit? I generally change both upstream and downstream together.

Trace the wiring to see if there’s a cut or short somewhere. You can also take a look at the MAF sensor and try to clean that. If the replacement sensor is good then the original problem still exist and it’s likely an air/fuel mixture issue. Clean the MAF, the idle air control valve and EGR while you’re at it.
