Do you guys have full size spares? Radios? Tools and recovery gear? Jack?
Just some stuff for ya to think about and get organized. Sliders are highly recommended too. If you're missing stuff we can probably work something out. I know I've got a couple 35" spares (on my trailer) and 2 spare radios.

AAA tow trucks won't go on dirt roads. I found that out the hard way.

pretty much in the same boat... the armor is really what I have been lurking lately and trying to put together.. What separates a “cool truck” from a “Capable Truck”... not quite there yet

Your truck is better set up than mine was when I first started hitting some trails so I think that your truck is just about ready. The one thing that I would recommend is sliders. There are some easier trails where you can get away with not having sliders but for these I would still remove the steps prior to the run.

:dancingbacon: I think you will love the setup - plus you get to drive your Tundra over to Mark's. (The whole lockdown has been difficult for my truck - she's only been driven about 2 feet in the past 5 days when I rolled her back to reinstall my LCA skids.)

If anyone has a lead on some used Sliders or a good deal on sliders please let me know. This is definitely what I am currently searching for.. but given current economic circumstances don’t think I can shell out for brand new White Knuckle or Demello as I would like..

Although I have seen a few people make these.. I used to weld a lot back in my previous life and was 2G and 3G certified.. I still have a Flux Core welder at home and a 220 Lincoln Stick welder.. maybe a project is in hand.. just would certainly need to refresh my skills from 10 years ago, and figure out some sort of Design blue prints..

Any thoughts or ideas always welcome!

    cheers and thank you!

The dude who runs side tracked off road in sac man. I got my all pro for I think like 570 cash they are dom rated. I know others are stronger but I’m not gonna be jacking up my truck that bad. 831tun has them as well sometime they need to be bent back down but they do the job for a great deal. I drove up and grabbed them plus one of his light bars he makes him self he’s a good dude. It’s a dom rated slider that is not 1k and has a step for my lady and kids I’m more then happy with it for the price point. I’ll show u when I deliver ur shocks lol

Howdy folks! Sunnier directed me to this thread since I’ve been chatting in the SoCal shenanigans threads but technically live in SF :monocle:

Names Zach, I drive a tundra, and happy to be here!! Here’s a pic from a sunset river wash run some friends and I did a few weeks ago that was probably the worst decision of my life!

well as you can see the dudes in front of me are changing their tire, while I prep to change mine. ThAt was 8 minutes in. When they got stuck up sh*t’s creek when my buddy high sided on a giant boulder, with no clue where we were or how to get out, in what turned out to be an protected area of land lol. We had no clue going in. The guy that was supposed to lead us through bailed but we figured we’d give it a go ahead anyways.
